Phil Brown says he would be willing to take a job in League Two to get back into management after agreeing an "amicable departure" from Hull City.

The 51-year-old left the Tigers on Monday after being placed on gardening leave in March, with Iain Dowie failing to keep the club in the Premier League.

"I want an opportunity really," Brown told BBC Radio 5 live.

"I'd like to get another football club whether it is in the second division through to the Premier League."

He could love himself all he wanted if he was winning us football matches.

He's a cock yes, but Chris Turner is a nice bloke so that's not really a valid reason not to have someone as manager.

He's just saying that anyway*

*Unless he's found a League Two town with an amazing array of sun bed shops.

He wouldn't be my first choice but I think he would be an improvement on what we've got.

He will get an offer from a far bigger club than Pools - You would have to be daft to say you wouldn't want him to manage Pools'...

Ok, if you want to discuss potential new managers, then would those of you shouting for change take Salisbury's manager if he decided to jump ship after they were demoted two divisions for breaking financial rules?
