Anyway, the lad who's banned is built like a bear but is a big sortie at heart and I'm sure all he'd like to do is smother John in kisses:)

Calling someone a coward on a message board is neither clever or acceptable.
Bravery and cowardice come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and in all walks of life and calling someone a coward is certainly not an act of bravery.
Mr I has nothing to prove to anyone. He knows what he is and is perfectly capable of rising above it.
It's not the first time someone has referred to another board member as a coward and there is absolutely no need for it.
Banter is banter and abuse is abuse.
Maybe the lesson has to be learned regarding using terms such as knobhead etc..............

Poolielad abused several people and I deleted the posts. I pm'd him asking him to behave and stop it. I told him it equated to a yellow card. He challenged me to provide proof which I couldn't as the posts had been deleted. I did get one bit wrong in that I said he called someone a c*** when infact he used a different word. A day or two later another thread appeared when he referred to someone as a 'f***ing pleb'. That was followed up by another aggressive post so I banned him. He emailed me asking who had banned him and I said it was me.

Banter is banter and so be it but direct abuse is unacceptable. If he wants to issue threats and abuse on the ITB board then thats up to him, although it was nice to get some support on there. As for the coward stuff, I'm not rising to that nor do I see where he's come up with that from.

Frankly I find the whole thing very silly.

as you are mates with this lad i'd strongly suggest you advise him to make an apology.

I very rarely see him, he's a good lad just gets a bit angry from time to time.
I don't know about being a fighter but he's the champion arm wrestler for owton manor and rift house:):)
