The EDL seem to be winning thier battle to rid the world of extremism. Bin Laden has been on an Arab TV station live from his cave saying (and i quote) "I shall be closing down out terrorist training camps in Afganistan and Northern Iraq due to the pressure being put on us from a group who call themselves the EDL. We have, for years now, been persuading our followers to wear rags and strap bombs to thier bodies before entering a market or bus depot and blowing themselves up - all in the name of Allah. However, even our highly trained generals would not be able to persuade our followers to wear Stone Island jumpers and England Baseball caps!!"

He continued " We are out of our depth here and if we continue in our quest to turn the whole world Muslim, we shall inevitably end up 'Getting our fucking heads kicked in' This is a risk we cannot take."

Misguided fools with no idea how to achieve what they want to achieve - if they know what that is.

according to the sunday sun they had police there yesterday from the met and northern ireleand ffs ! god alone knows what the police operation must have cost us taxpayers. 1000 coppers on travelling time and overtime, the mind boggles.

there wasnt a single arrest, mainly cos there was more police there than protesters, but if this carries on every saturday of the summer its gonna cost the country millions and waste police time that could be spent catching criminals.

they are talking about having one in bradford later in the summer. they will probably have half the police in the country out for that.

Probably Ulster police there because there was an Apprentice Boys of Derry, Orange parade on.

When I lived in Newcastle they had one every year and it was like a magnet for a good range of neo-nazi loons. Odd that the EDL who persist in claiming not to be linked to the old style far right should choose that very day for a racist romp on Tyneside. Obviously a coincidence though, they're just ordinary lads who love their Mums.

the world has truly gone mad.

Unbelievable isn't it?

A peaceful British march in Britain by British people with a British band playing?

What's this country coming to FFS.

Not good enough. Sort it out.
