Was talking to Brian Honour last night and he was telling me that Johnny Rowell is at or about to go to Anderlect for trials.
Hope the lad get the chance he never had at pools.

Never got a chance at pools. One minute he's the next big thing, then been given 5 mins at the end of a game when were losing expecting him to change it. Inept management.

The fact he was released still beggars belief.

I'd love an explanation.

So Jones and Rowell aren't rated by our management team, one is rumoured to be off to Sheffield Wednesday the other on trial at Anderlect.

Hardly the normal Blyth Spartans/Gateshead route is it after release from Pools? Maybe someone has been watching them who can actually spot a footballer.

It still beggars belief that he has been so underused.

As I've said before he was MOTM just over a year ago against a very strong MK Dons who were 2nd top at the time and 7 points clear of 3rd. Since then he has played SEVENTY NINE FCKING MINUTES of League football.

If we were strong in midfield and had two undroppable players there you could understand it but the only reason that some players are undroppable is because the manager believes the sun shines out of their arse.

Dunno. I just looked on his wikipedia page though and Danny Wilson described Rowell's debut as 'terrific' (he was....I was there)

Chris Turner was in charge for the next game. Rowell was dropped and didn't get a single minute on the pitch despite the fact we were 3up with 30 minutes left and playing ten men. banghead banghead banghead banghead
