The Turks and UEFA have tolerated their scum for so long it's not surprising.

I have been there for a holiday and really enjoyed it, as POK says not everyone is like that, the Turks were met were extremely friendly and the people running the apartments where we stayed couldn't do enough for you

I went about 10 year ago and it was good, I just would never like to go to a football game there.

I go twice a year and have done for the last six years.
Met some wonderful people , Turkish and English.
If people in this country worked has hard as some of the Turks we've met
this would be a better , wealthier country.
As one said , "in England you don't work, the Government give you money,
in Turkey you don't work, you get no money"

I'm not defending people who start fires at football matches.
In fact I don't think I would go to a game in Istanbul
They do, all love their football and it's great fun explaining where
Pools sit in the league structure, but they are genuinely interested.

Turkey will do for me, I'm off next Wednesday for my next trip

Never really been to Turkey but I spent 10 hours in transit at Istanbul airport in the New Year (due to bastard snow closing Manchester  ) and I must say the standard of woman was outstanding. It almost made the experience bearable.... almost.

It helps tremendously thank you.

In fact based upon this I may revise my thoughts with regards it being a shit hole and possibly even retract that part of my statement.
