Pools should of just waited to see what happens after saturday.
If we win leave the appeal.
If we lose then we should appeal.

Never know what will happen if we lose the appeal.

FFS! You fucked up, just own up to it for christs sake. Why appeal as it wont get anywhere as YOU ballsed it up!! Let the players go to Brentford with no distractions, do their job and all is ok.

Arseholes.

Since when did we start relying on SkySports to tell us what's happening at Pools.

The statement on the official site says that the club is considering its position, and is aware of the 28 day deadline for submitting an appeal. It does not say that we have already appealed, and I would be very surprised if we have.

Sorry if that deflates any rant confised

To be honest Im more likely to beleive anything Sky Sports say than what comes out of HUFC these days.

I think its a foooking disgrace taht the FA and the FL basically make their own rules up to punish small clubs like ourselves.
People should be getting behind the club and writing or emailing to the relevant people to complain.
Honestly banghead banghead

How are they making up the rules, we fielded a player who was banned end of, if it was Tranmere, Exeter or Gillingham we would be shouting for them to be docked points.

bag of shiite. The FA and FL are not the ones responsible. The blame lies much closer to home. They are not making up any rules as such. Pools are incompetent. end of.

Which are the teams who've fielded ineligible players and had different punishment?

There not in the FL though, lets be honest we were in the wrong end of, instead of blaiming the FA / FL for giving us a punishment that fitted the crime (one that you would have called for if it was one of our opponents) why not scream and shout at the idiots running the asylem.

What gets up my nose is that both bodies want to try the club for the same offence, and both bodies have dished out different punishments as a result.
That needs sorting in my book. It is double jeopardy in any other book, including the law of the land.

As regards the punishment of the maximum three points deduction. Yes Pools are in the wrong BUT there are mitigating circumstances. Surely the maximum penalty should only be applied if there are NO mitigating circumstances.

On top of that where's the sense or fairness in giving the maximum points deduction for the first offence.

On top of that, if there is an appeals procedure and in this case there is, punishment shouldn't be carried out until that procedure has been exhausted.

Take it to every court available I say.

People used to say that it was a waste of time taking these things to court but that's how the Bosman ruling and the abolition of the maximum wage came about.

I'd like to think that I would judge each case on its merits.
Like for instance people site the fact that five other clubs had players on five or ten yellows and managed to avoid playing them.
What if each one of those clubs did as we did and checked the OFFICIAL football league site and found the records regarding their players was correct.
I am not defending the offence here................but I am saying there are mitigating circumstances in my opinion.

Some offences are deliberate and should have the book thrown at them, but this one wasn't. It was a mistake and yes it should have been avoided. There was no evidence of deliberate intent to cheat or twist the rules. If there was then i'm all for the maximum possible punishment.
