PostPosted: Sun May 02, 2010 9:41 pm
If we do get slapped with a 3 point deduction, will it definately be taken fron this seasons tally or will it be similar to the deduction system used when clubs go into administration? eg after a cutoff date the points deduction is postponed til next season... Anyone got a clue? I sure as hell havnt!

not really, seeing as Pools had until the 26th to reply to the charge and when they did it looks like they requested a personal hearing which probably would have meant a minimum amount of time between the request and the hearing itself (maybe a week) sctatchinghead

they will have to do this prior to the final match in the interests of fair competition, such that events will be decided on the field of play this Saturday.
It's what we would be demanding if another club was up for this

Still hope we might get away with it - but I'm not holding out much hope

^ that

There is no way the punishment will be delayed until next season

But didn't Chesterfield manage to hold over their points deduction, that time when it relegated us?

Rotherham delayed entering administration, which enabled them to stay up in 05/06

The fact that Chesterfield gained so many points using a team, whereby they had cheated in order to put that team together, but were only deducted 9 points - is a case Pools should be using to put forward - as it was Pools who suffered again in that instance as the points deduction was not sufficient for us to be able to have gotten into 3rd place in 01/02 season

Let's hope we are as lucky as West Ham who weren't deducted points purely because it might have relegated them when they continued to play Carlos Tevez when they shouldn't have.

They could just fine you a few million quid then!!! Then you could be taken to court by another team and lose a few million more quid!

Given the differences in finances between the two leagues I reckon we should be fined a fiver in comparison clappp
