got a draw tonight which doesn't change the overall situation at all.

Need to go to Hillsborough and get at least a point now. Without Neil Danns presumably after getting sent off for a juicy headbutt too which will be a right twat given he is probably their best player.

Not too sure why their fans are crying though? sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

They were crying as if they thought that they were down already.

It was a great game from start to finish. West Brom couldn't hit a barn door to save their lives, two own goals and Palace should have won.

Must have seen a different game to you POK - much as I wanted Palace to win for various reasons - WBA had 14 shots on target to Palace's 4 and should have won. It was only Speroni in goal that kept them in it.
Let's hope they get that point at the Wendies.

May be something to do with circulating rumours about this being potentially the last game played at Selhurst Park and the club no longer existing in its current state after next month - talk of having to reform like AFC Wimbledon. Whatever the result at the Wendies, their troubles are far from over off the pitch.

They did batter them, but they still couldn't convert any of the chances they had to score.

Spot the contradiction, Palace should have won,yet WBA battered them.

Please explain, as I didn't see the game.

Palce should have punished West Brom for not putting their chances away and they should have done that with a goal in the dying seconds of injury time.

So if a team misses an easy chance in the last minute of a game to win 1-0, but draw 0-0 is it a good point won after being battered, or 2 points lost because they miss a chance to win the game. Yet the opposition have had 14 chances to score in the other 89 minutes and missed all them.

My personal belief would be that the team who got battered had come away with a good point, as maybe the game should have been out of their reach before stoppage time.

If they score and punish the opposition for not scoring they have done a smash and grab, but not necessarily deserved to win.

What you meant to say is WBA could have lost which is different to Palace should have won.

they will be a waste of a place in the league next year though... although it's rumoured Pompey will suffer the similar 17 point deduction handed out to Rotherham and Bournemouth for not exiting admin etc before the start of a new season

I think WBA wouldn't have cared that much about last night's result considering they know they've finished runners-up and there's just one game left for them.
