Still undecided at the moment, but erring towards Independent, as our local MP of 27 years has been deselected, and replaced by a poor local Councillor, and is therefore standing under his own name.

I realise its a tiny sample but nevertheless, up to now its;

Con 15.3% (101 seats)
Lab 30.7% (202 seats)
Lib 46.1% (304 seats)
Others 7.6% (60 seats)

A working majority needs 330 seats

The headline says one thing, the facts if you read them all say another. C'est la vie.

thanks for clearing that up, or in the words of Frank "I foolishly, inadvertently and unjustifiably included it in the claim"
Easy mistake to make, I wonder if the £1500 for tidying up the garden which was turned down was just sods law.

It's interesting that even for a constituency like Hartlepool which is hostorically one of the safest Labour seats this minor sample have Liberals & Labour neck and neck.

Brown is going to crash and burn in a huge way nationally.

With regard to the £5, have you never made a mistake?

As for the £1500 for the garden, well this last year has proven that just about everyone of them has tried to claim whatever the system would allow them too.

But are all of the 'voters' in this poll registered voters in Hartlepool?

I can't believe Cameron has come first in the YouGov poll tonight as the winner of the Bristol Debate. All three leaders' performances were vastly improved, I was proud of Brown tonight and him and Clegg were just immense.

Brown showed himself to be the perfect man for the job with both style and substance. It looks like my vote will be heading in Labour's direction.

I thought same as last week:
Joint 1st - Clegg/Brown
3. by a small margin, Cameron.

I agree more with the ITV poll that puts Cameron third and I'm not surprised Clegg has won another poll.

If these polls are to be believed, there will either be a spectacular result that will be remembered for years to come or it will be a big letdown.

This is going straight into the POK classic statements!

Every poll has Broon bottom of the pile, in the lastest he's down on 23%. This is going to be a disastrous election for him and I firmly believe that these TV debates along with the public's disillusionment of the politicians have broken the mould of UK politics.

Next week is all about the economy, an area that you would have predicted Brown to be the master of his subject however don't forget that it was a Liberal who warned about a possible meltdown long before it happened.

So Mr I and Ripper I expected- but 3 more?

Come on!

Who was it?

Who are the other 3 that believe that the best way to deal with an economic crisis created by rich twats from public schools is to elect a government of rich public school twats.

The current Bunker ratio of lib 39, lab 32, tories 18% would return:

Labour 312 seats
Lib 260 seats
Tories 49 seats
Frank Cook winning Stockton for Billinghampoolie.

That horrible little man William Hague would still win my constituency even in the Bunker tory armageddon.

I'm not voting on ideological lines, I'm fed up of the Labour / Conservative pass the parcel. I think its time to give an alternative a chance. Besides, Maggie isn't standing or they'd be no contest.

Bizarrely Brown/Labour could still finish last but still win the majority of seats and form a coalition government with the liberals. This would be the nightmare scenario for the tories as the coaltion would probably reform the voting system to one of proportional representation, which could keep the Conservatives out of power, forever.

The mistake was rectified in 2006, when it happened, the publicity only came last year.

So if Labour got 20% of the vote they'd be in favour of changing the system to one which would only give them 20% of the seats if the result was repeated?

Some polls last night after the debate actually showed Brown's share of the vote had gone up since the first debate. I think different people had different ideas as to who won last night.

I think the only true poll that we will be able to trust is the one on May 6th.

If I find that there is good reason too however, I may still be convinced to vote LibDem.

You should be locked in the house on May 6th.

Hope that helps.

I'm voting by post because I won't be in the country on Election Day.

I'll be in Paris over the last weekend of the season with some friends from University.

That is if there isn't another volcanic eruption in Iceland.

Sorry I've put the wrong thing down in my excitement, I should have put the "Alternative vote system", where voters rate the candidates in order of preference. As more people in this country are inclined towards centre left, this would be of obvious disadvantage to the conservative party.

You know I thought it was sad how they all rip the piss on here but you really are about as dumb as human beings get, niave doesn't even cover it. You think pollytics are fleas that parrots get and obviously think Paris is on the other side of the World, when from most parts of Kent it is probably a shorter drive than getting to Hartlepool.

Or do you expect the next volcano to be so bad the ash stops road and rail travel?

I was joking when I actually said that, you know.

In what way? Did you mean that you don't believe there will be another Volcano Eruption, or that you will be in Paris come hell or high water?

I was joking that if there had been another volcanic eruption and we didn't know that the airplanes could tolerate higher levels of the ash, there could have been travel chaos again.

But the trains and especially Eurostar and the buses had been taking am increased number in passengers. If you look at some of the TV footage of the port at Calais when people were still travelling home. The long queues that there have been on there is hardly the best advert for someone who wants to travel. I'll still go to Paris because it was arranged some time ago, but those who are planning to make trips I think will wait until everybody's been brought back before they will make their journey.

On the news, they've been saying it might take a couple of weeks for all those who were stranded in Europe to get home.
