We beat them we go on to 54 points they will be on 46. Take our predicted 3 points deduction off we're on 51 they're on 46, 5 points clear of them with 2 games each remaining. They have to win both.

There other 2 games are Charlton and Huddersfield at home. They have win both. Goal difference is not a factor as they need 6 points from those two games to over take us.

IMHO they wont win those other two games.

The season goes down to one match, simple as.

I've ruled out the rest, but football's not played on paper.

It boils down to any of our 3 games left.

We aint going down so i dont see the need in being dramatic anyway.

When we lose the 3 points I reckon a draw will do us and it will make little difference who the draw is against.

Exactly.

From what I've heard in some cases, the punishment for fielding an ineligible player is quite inconsistent. There is the possibility that we could at the very least, just be fined - there have been occasions where that has happened.

A couple of weeks ago I said after we had won that we were 65% safe.

After today's excellent win I think we can say that we are about 90% safe.

All we need to do from a football perspective is win all our remaning games to try to finish as high as possible. A top half finish is not impossible if we really want it.

Tranmere play their game in hand Tuesday night at Brentford. Lose to them and we only need at least one more point to be mathematically certain before any decision on Liddle.

If we do not have points deducted after our hearing, we are safe. FACT.

When will the decision be made regarding our punishment?

We always seem to get the shi1tty end of the stick in things like this. Remember when we were going for automatic promotion challenging Chesterfield, Chesterfield had broken loads of rules that season (can't remember exactly which ones) but they were given a very light punishment. Therefore we finished in the first play off position.

Think it was Blackpool that knocked us out that year, Brett Ormerod had a great two games.

The BBC site says a decision is going to be made within the next 10 days.

The spinelessness of the disciplinary bodies is legendary but it could work in our favour for once if we still need it to. If we look safe I bet we lose three points, if all results go against us between now and the decision I bet they treat us lightly.

The League hate having lawyers involved so if there is much at stake and IOR get somebody decent in, suggesting that they intend to fight it all the way if they have to, the disciplinary panel will accept the mitigating circumstances and we'll get off with a fine or one point.

After the last few matches I'm looking forward to not worrying about it either way!

If we win next week and other results go our way it will be pointless (no pun intended!) of the FA to take points of us as it will have naff all effect. You could argue it would have no effect now as its still highly unlikely we'll go down even with a three point deduction.

Perhaps the FA will make us start on -3 next season if a points deduction is deemed necessary?
