From Friday's KM Medway Messenger:

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson believes that Hartlepool must be deducted three points in the interest of fairness.

"There is no way they can keep the points", said Stimson.

"They played a player who is suspended and if they can do it then we'll all do it and say sorry.

"They've done something wrong and they have to take the punishment. The only punishment I can see that would be fair is to take the three points off them."

Clubs rely heavily on secretaries to keep abreast of the many FA rules and regulations and Stimson praised Gillingham's own secretary Gwen Poynter.

"Someone has made a big boo-boo and that's why I'm lucky as I have a fantastic secretary in Gwen", said the Gills boss.

"People like that are unbelievable and for that football club (Hartlepool), it's a massive mistake by the secretary".

The rumour of a points dedcution at 'Pools was originally reported in Monday's edition of the paper down here.

He's right we should be deducted three points, but he's wrong to blame one person when he has no idea who's fault it was. A specific person has that role at Pools, how can he point the blame from Gillingham??

I notice no teams in the top six are passing comment......

I know he's right, we should be deducted the points, but I just get the sense that he should be minding his own business to be honest with you.

I suppose he'll be the first one to moan if Gillingham go down, we don't get a heavy punishment and because of it, Gillingham will go down.

It is his own business though because it affects his teams chances.

Christ sake do you not think we would be kicking up a right fuss if it was Tranmere etc?

From everything I have read and heard from Stimson, I'd say he's an utter, utter thick mouthpiece.

Read up on his dealings with Chris Dickson, should you be interested. It demonstrates what a twat he is from start to finish.

So Stimson supports a 3 point deduction. Now that's breaking news. If you were to ask 92 league manager's if we should be deducted 3 points, 91 would say yes and a D.O.S. would say who would play a suspended player, that's Sunday League stuff. End of story.
