My MP3 player has gone tits up.

Am thinking about getting an Ipod, do I get a Nano, Touch, Classic or seeing as my phone contract is up for renewal soon should I get an Iphone? Or should I just get another MP3 player?

Am I right in thinking that you get a lot of these 'Apps' on the Touch? I'm not normally one for these gimmicky things but there's a few I've seen that I get good use out of.

stpid to anyone with a sarcy answer!

The iPhone is practically a Touch but with phone capabillities. Most phones these days come with big SD Cards (up to 32gb) so, any phone with mp3 players on it will do the job. I've just sold my Nano. BlackBerry does all my music, call & internet needs.

Get an Iphone.
No other phone comes anywhere near it for music.
The iTunes store is fantastic and the Apps store is brilliant.
You won't regret it :)

I'm afraid that the iphone does unfortunately live up to the hype and more. Same story with the touch although obviously its not a phone. Mind you, you can make calls on a itouch if you have a plug in microphone (built into the earphones) and install skype.

How much are the top end dogs bollox I-Phones on pay as you go and what do they do?

I've got a 32gb I-Pod Touch which is good and generally use my work phone all of the time but fancy finding a new toy to spend some money on.

Ripper they are about £400 on pay as you go but you might pick up one on Ebay for a lot less.
Contract starts at about £35 a month.
I'm never off mine whether I'm playing games or using the net or just trying out all the different apps.

After a lot of reading till the early hours I've taken the plunge and ordered one of these iphones. £89...I've never paid to upgrade a phone before so it better be worth it!

New iPhone due out in June/July(ish) as well, I think I'd have waited to see spec/prices on new one. I've got a 3G with the contract ending in May, so I'm going to check out the new one when it's announced.

If your looking for a decent smartphone but don't want to pay premium prices for the iPhone, then have a look at the HTC desire. It's as good if not better and its much cheaper on contract.

I was thinking of getting that can you get the same apps (ie run keeper etc) you can on the i-phone.

Not sure about that specific app. But the Android app store is pretty comprehensive, 2nd only to Apples I'm led to believe. The phone itself is fooking outstanding though

I have a blackberry bold 9700 at the minute and really like it. The only phone I'd change it for would be one of the Android ones on the horizon. The iPhone is good at what it does but if you want cutting edge then it lags way behind. Style over substance IMHO.

How many attempts do Apple want to have?! Multi-tasking was only introduced on the 3GS... that service was around about 9-10 years ago on every single phone. 3G.... well. (thats all i'll say)
There is loads of stuff its not very good at
