I work with a Barnsley fan who despised Davey for a long time before he got the bullet and was overjoyed when they finally got shot.

Apparently he's a negative long ball merchant who falls out with players and picks his favourites and won't play anybody with a bit of skill or flair.

That rings a bell.

Most of us are happy enough with the appointment of Davey, he's an improvement (or appears to be) on the last 2 clowns. Actually Hodgy's involvement (through links with Davey) could only be a good thing after all we've been through, he's like Jesus to some of our fans. He may have had his shortcomings at getting us out of league 2 but at least we were in no danger of being where we are now under him.
