I run around a very tough 2 lap 6 mile extremely muddy, hilly and windy x-country course louping over becks/streams at Prudhoe, Northumberland in a half decent time of 40:04 (damn those 5 seconds grrrr! ) I doubt very much if any of those players
on the pitch today could do it...professional sportsmen! And as soon as I'm through the finish line I'm stripping my race clobber off changing on my way to the car and I hurtle South towards Hartlepool (adhering to the speed restrictions of course ) and I'm passing through the turnstiles at 3:05pm to see my beloved Hartlepool United put in a perfomance like that and lose 1-0 ...was it worth it? If Pools players had an ounce of my determination. committment, desire and passion.... if only.....IF ONLY!!!!

That's the problem your Lordship, they give the guts and determination to one lot of people, and the football skills and laziness to the other lot.
