I had a problem with my car a couple of weeks ago, all off the dashboard display went off, the airbag warning light came on, and worst of all the steering was suddenly very 'heavy', and I was struggling to steer the car. The problem turned out to be a faulty regulator in the alternator.

I've now got the problem back, although this time intermittently. The garage who previously fixed it have checked the charge going to the battery is normal, in the original fault to high a charge was going to it. They can't look at it until Monday. My question is will I risk causing further problems to the electrics of the car if I continue driving it.

I can't contemplate not going to the match tomorrow, or even consider coming into town on a bus!!

An option I suppose, just spoilt by 30 odd years of driving everywhere.

Not sure about the 227, wasn't that the service that ran from the Headland, through the Central to Hart Station?

The 36 will probably be the one to get.

if its only intermittent you should be ok it might be an idea to charge the battery tonight then you know the battery is fully charged and by travelling to and from hartlepool you shouldnt drain all the charge

I cant see it doing any damage. The only risk is you gettting a flat battery and not being able to get home. If the power steering cuts off then it will still be drivable.
