From the BBC

Hartlepool director of sport Chris Turner has said his side need to be more ruthless away from Victoria Park to halt their poor away form.

Pools have failed to record a victory on their travels since October and have lost nine away games in succession.

"We've played some very good football away from home, and got absolutely nothing," Turner told BBC Tees.

"We've got to get something in these games, continue our home form and we'll finish mid-table."

Pools' fortunes have not been aided by improved results for Exeter City, Oldham Athletic and Brighton in the last week, leaving Turner's side just two points above the drop zone.

However the former Sheffield Wednesday boss believes his side's fate lies in their own hands and is adamant that safety is a definite possibility.

"Forget about everybody else, it's about what we do, and our away results since Christmas have put us in this position," he said.

"Our home results are fine, it's our away results, not picking points up that has dragged us back down there."

To be honest he could sit at the press conference and blow a raspberry for me, or talk about arable farming in the 1920's and I'd take as much notice.

I stopped reading his quotes about two weeks ago I was sick of getting pissed off by them!

But our recent home form, looking at our last couple of games, is good. It's our away form that isn't. If anybody but Turner had said that it's our away form that's the current problem there wouldn't have been such an outcry.

Turner has gone from an honest speaking bloke in his first stint to a complete managerial cliche (and a bad one at that)

Players need to be more ruthless away from home.....doh.

The Spennymoor and District Womens Guild Bridge playing "B" team are more ruthless away.

Particularly that Mrs. Ollerenshaw.........what a cow.

Tree & Grave For all your over the top, out of perspective levels of abuse needs

Support a football team?

Have a manager who's struggling and possibly out of his depth?

Got some very valid points?

Why not let Tree & Grave discredit them all with some over the top personal abuse that he doesn't deserve.

You want a message board to look bad??

Hire Tree & Grave for all your insults that you'd never say face to face to the bloke that have nothing to do with football.

Tree & Grave ltd. Phone 01429 Moan Twist for a free estimate.

I just don't think they bloke deserves to be called a fat 'lovely lovely person' to be honest, it's only football, he makes judgements based on what he believes. What has his weight got to do with the price of bacon?

Over the top shite like that just fuels people who refer to 'the forums' in a derogatory manner, you can express your opinion and put valid reasons across for it without resorting to the playground.

Can you imagine anyone from the club or the press logging in trying to get a cross section of our opinion and taking one look at Grave's signature to then expect to take what people say on this place seriously. A lot of sense is talked on here, over the top and irrelevant personal abuse will drag it down. I'd have Rick Waller as boss if he had us playing well. It's just faceless abuse.

By the way I think you are both probably sound, but you are becoming a parody of yourselves.

I dont know where that come from! My sig has been there for ages. I dont care less what the club would think if they logged on and saw my quotes and NEITHER WOULD THEY!

And I would also add that it isnt just myself and Tree who are guilty of this 'abuse', there are plenty more on here saying the same sorts of things.

Your point about resorting to the playground, fair enough, calling him fat in my sig is a bit immature and im going to edit it. Im not however going to remove the reference to me wanting him to f*** off and calling him a silly boy as I beleive its true. I DO want him to leave the club and I think he is a silly boy because he has a job which he is a failure at yet gets paid a whacking great wage, has a nice big house and isnt accountable because of the cosyness at the club AND COULD do the decent thing and walk away to allow someone who knew what they were doing to take charge but presumably wont because of the aforementioned reasons.

PS- and my comment re the pic that tree uploaded was just meant to be a humourous remark. Sorry if it offended anyone.

So it's only took 35 games into the season for our management team to realise that we need to be more ruthless away from home.........that's real progress that is. banghead

Yep, he should have realised after our first three or four away results shouldn't he.

This anti-Turner crap is just getting ridiculous now.

Fair enough have a go at him when it's warranted, but people are just picking on silly stuff now and making fools of themselves in their eagerness to be the next in line to have a pop at the manager.

Yes Ripper but it is warranted. Weve lost 9 away games on the trot, the last a routing at Yeovil, tell me that that's good?

I'm not saying that it's good.

I'm merely pointing out how silly statements such as it taking 35 games for him to realise are ludicrous, given our early season away form was good and most people were commenting on how pleasing it was to see.

Hence my comments regarding people picking on silly stuff to have a go at him about, for Christ's sake it's not like the bloke said that our away form is fine and of no concern.

Okay maybe not the full 35 games then, but look at the stats, since September 4th, yes over 6 months ago, our away form reads:- Won 1, Drawn 2, Lost 10. Now that is'nt real progress is it, and it's not as if it's just went wrong has it.

It's like watching a 50ft Dinosaur reacting to a pothole.
