that's one way to get rid of the asbestos........ similar thing happened to the Greyhound stadium roof...hmmm what a coincidence

I thought asbestos was fire proof

I thought asbestos was fire proof


No like everything it was used because it was cheaper to use.Cement mixed with about 10%- 15% asbestos fibre makes a rigid sheet less than 5mm thick. If iron was used, the sheet would have to be approx 3cm thick in order to have the same strength.
