Tips For Cheltenham Direct From The Vic
Posted on: Wed 17 Mar 2010

Ok, so it wasn't a great start at the Cheltenham Festival for our tips from the Media Department at Victoria Park. But we're nothing if not resilient!

So we're back today with confidence undented and a new determination to pick out at least one winner from today's meeting at the famous old course.

All eyes today are on Master Minded in the 3.20 with big money being placed on Ruby Walsh's big hope. But at 10/11 favourite you may opt to put your money on Forpadydeplasterer ridden by AP McCoy and out at 10/1.

For those of you who - like us - enjoy placing a few pennies on horses that have a certain Pools-style ring to them then how about these two beauties from today's card?

1.30
As Pools heroes go, Brian Honour is up there - it's a big ask but can Prudent Honour be celebrating in today's first race at a staggering 100/1? 50p of our money says he can!

2.40
Perhaps more realistic is the later race where a certain Citizen Vic is in contention at 12/1 - we'd be crazy not to have a flutter on that!

Any non runners ie Synchronised in the 1st race , unless you let me know what you have changed it to before the race starts will be counted as a non runner and you will get your stake money back .
Doug you gonna enter the contest ? you need to pick horses in the last 4 races yet .
Just over a hour to get your choices in if you have not done so already.

I'm confused bri was £91.38 up after 3 races his 4th horse was Kalahari King which didn't win and he went up to £102.01 a £10.63 increase on a loser. Are you doing it on places as well.

How can his winnings go up on a loser though.£91.38 winnings, £5 on kalahari king takes profit down to £86.38, and as loses winnings can't go up. So profit is £86.38, surely. You'll have to explain it to me.
