Interesting comparison, in the time this (ground sale saga) has been going on Plymouth Argyle have bought their ground and now sold it (albeit for £2.8m) to lease it back, as a way of easing financial pressures.

I don't think the cost has ever been the stumbling block, the council actually want to Pools to buy more land than they need really as the plans are going to improve the whole area for the local residents.

I don't think theirs much chance of it not happening, I just wish they'd get a move on! It's typical council red tape and things taking ages. Things are much further forward than that Parmo.

The article states that the council have in principle agreed to sell Pools the ground, that is a big step forward I don't see the reason for negativity, it's the biggest indication we've had that sale IS close.
