I've missed what's gone on here over the weekend, but from what I've read, the way people have slagged off ADG is an absolute disgrace.

Those who know him, and I guess it's the vast majority on this board, know he's a decent bloke who you can have a pint and a natter with. He's a true Poolie.

Shame on you all.

I don't know what's gone on either.
I'm torn between saying on the one hand I like him a lot, on the other saying that, whatever is wrong, he ought to get over himself and get back on the board, just as he's always telling everyone else in similar situations.

I think Mr Dibbs doesn't want to be tarred with an anti IOR brush, and reading between the lines I think thats what he feels is happening on the message boards, so he's removed himself.

No drama.

I dont either, but I'm too cool to have strong opinions!

Whether he "has to get over himself" or not, the abuse he has received is unwarranted.

I was going to start talking about self abuse, but then I thought of you and got an image.
I'm just off to bleach my brain!

Of course I agree that any abuse is unwarranted. It's just that I've not seen any.

I also think lots of things that happen on the Bunker are unwarranted, but that's just because I have no sense of humour or perspective......(Spender taught me how to say the last bit.)

I doubt very much that many, if any, fans are anti IOR - they are alarmed at the bad PR that will be generated in the football community over the BTFC situation

Pools should never have got involved there in the first place if there was ever a chance this would happen
I don't see it happening at any other places where the professional outfit has directly closed down an amateur one for a relatively small amount of money - regardless of principles etc - it is just going to look bad and if BTFC are closed down, then Pools will have to pick up the legal costs and everything - I just don't see the point in it.
The larger football community will not see the situation from a HUFC viewpoint at all - Pools should put it down to experience, move on and they will get a hell of a lot more credit for that!!! It's just not worth it for 10 grand!!!!!
I'm willing to bet that someone like Tottenham - whose reserves and youth teams play at Enfield - would not dream of doing anything like this!!!

One or two people have a beef with the owners, but I'm amazed that the feeling here is that the majority of fans are against them!!!!! There is frustration over the continued employment of CT as manager, and the Billingham situation.
But in my eyes that's it - frustration over two long standing issues - neither of which need to be issues at all if the right thing is done in both cases!!!!!

I read a couple of childish comments from Waldorf and Statler (Tree & Grave  ) but surely everyone has learned to take those two like a pinch of salt?

I think if ADG did get any 'abuse' plenty would have stuck up for him and it's a shame he's stopped posting (if he has sctatchinghead ) in my eyes, I used to enjoy his almost 360 degree changes of mind

Parmo, I have a solution to your final words. We'll forget the £10,000 if they take Turner as manager, he'll cut the grass, mark the lines and empty the bins as well.

Fook it we’ll actually we'll give them £10,000.

The original question didn't allege abuse Mr I, Cornelius was talking about ADG being slagged off.

Abuse was someone else's term.

BURMA

 Here we go, "abuse" "slagged off", what's the difference? What would you term names like "silly boy"?

If its the thread Im thinking of, he was the one who started the abuse. Why the feck shouldnt people respond?

He changes his mind every other day and then thinks its acceptable to slag off those who have a different opinion (the same opinions he has often had only a few days/hours earlier).

If you give it out you have to learn to take it. If you are pompous enough to keep saying "that is all" or asking for threads to be locked as people are expressing an alternative opinion then you are bound to be criticised.

I get endless abuse (much worse than what Dibble gets!) but I stick with my opinions and dont change them just to create friction on the board.

Im susprised at your post Catweasle, you normally talk sense.

Grave, it surprised me that you resorted to name calling. And I just think it's wrong. Mind you, I want to shove a hot poker up Tree's bomb bay, not for my own sexual pleasure, but just to cause him pain ... and I know that's wrong, but I'd, in all honesty, enjoy it.

I've been home, had bowl of tomato soup and a bacon (American streaky  ) butty, and had a lie down. Maybe I over-reacted, if so I'm sorry.

But Dibble's a nice guy ...

and I love him.
