...Sandra Bullock won the Oscar for Best Actress. :uhoh:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/8493152.stm

Congratualations also to Kathryn Bigelow who became the first female to win Best Director.

The glass ceiling has been well and truly shattered!!!

Wallace and Gromit unfortuanately missed out in Best Animation, but The Young Victoria took a couple of technical awards.

MJ, you're the best at obscure films. I've never even heard of this one.

Is this the right time to confess I'm getting the complete set of Noggin the Nog dvds for my birthday this week? :uhoh:

I fell asleep during Alice in Wonderland yesterday.
All style and no substance, Tim Burton can do better [so I've been told].

Anyhoo, £6 for a kip, should've stayed at home!

I often fall asleep at films too, if it's any consolation. Not that the films are necessarily bad...it's just that when the lights go out, it has the same effect on me as on a canary when you cover its cage. :uhoh:

So do you keep the light on to stay awake in the bedroom, saucy girl!

I dont often fall asleep, I suppose I'd had a heavy weekend on the sauce - and we'd just had our sunday dinner before going to the pictures......but mostly the film was just dull, dull, dull and not worth keeping ones eyes open for!

Salty, so how were Eliza, and the others?

Compo, no lights in our house, we're that poor. I just sleep all day long, man.

Oscars? All so much bollocks of course but I will say one thing...

If Sandra Bullock can an award for Best Actress I'm going to have to take up thesping myself. And if the film she was in can be nominated I'm going to take up film-making too. If it hadn't had a big name attached I'd have been surprised if it got a cinema release. The Blind Side is like a TV film of the week, to be shown on a sleepy Sunday afternoon.

Yup - when I heard she'd won a Razzie I really thought it would be for The Blind Side, fook knows what All About Steve is like ... I hope I never find out

I've fallen asleep whilst watching 2 of the so called loudest rock bands Deep Purple and Budgie (2 seperate occasions), fortunately I was sitting down both times.
Hoping to see Alice in Wonderland later this week although Salty's review is not promising. Shame as I usually like Tim Burton's work.
Off to see the comdeian Stewart Lee tonight (if I can stay awake).

Eliza was a bit of a mixed bag, started off on her own and was class, but then she was joined by her Canadian husband [at least i think he is, they're together anyways] and it all went a bit shit,bluegrassy/english folk fusion. Didn't work. She should bin him asap.

The young un's were great, but they really, really need a new name - not that they aren't young as we both know, its just a very crap name!!
David Eagles is my favourite!

I caught a bit of it unfortunately. The BBC news girl, Susanna Reed' looked like she was smuggling peanuts in that frock. Maybe it was cold.
