That team on paper is a play-off side for next season, however the tatics and guidence of Turner we would finish mid table, I hope I am wrong and would love it if I was proven so, but I cannot see it as my signature suggests what has he done since 2002. Bugger all.

Would you be worried about the coming season?

And if that team was picked by a new manager rather than CT, would it make that much difference?

I reckon if we get

Renan

Patric
Souza
Toloi
Diogo

Sandro
Giulano
Ze Eduardo
Maylson

Dentino
Walter

WE HAVE A CHANCE OF BEING CHAMPIONS

Who are all players for the Brazil U20 team, which is as pointless discussing as the original post.

We need a left back and a real center half before next season.

A manager has to lead by example, how can turner tell players to get fit when he is a tad overweight? The players we have are no where near fit enough or sharp enough mentally. His decision making is poor and the signings he makes are baffling..

A stronger manager would get a lot more from Boydy and Monkey, Turner has to either get tough and start slagging playerss off to the press if they are shite like Neale Cooper or he needs to do the decent thing like Stuart McCall did at Bradford....

A good thread imo even if it was probably just 'bait'. The team is pretty good on the whole and I think they should be at least midtable, probably pushing towards the play-offs with a good couple of additions.

Flinders - At first i thought he was excellent - now I think he is dodgy so 'average' overall

Austin - great signing - something turner definitely got right!
Liddle - good but probably playing at his level - he isnt championship class
Collins - on his day magnificent - like liddle - probably at his level
Hartley - not convinced- he doesnt look a left back to me and his distribution is shocking (can cross a ball well like, and shoot)

Brown - obviously an asset
Jones - an asset but i suspect he will leave
Gamble - a great signing
Monkhouse - Im a fan of his but has he just gone too stale?? Maybe a new boss would get him playing better

Boyd - He isnt what he was - so so. Too slow and he isnt a target man
O Donovan - I havent seen enough of him to comment. I would be wary about judging him so far - I mean, behan looked the dogs bollocks for half a dozen games and now he looks like a pub player.

I wouldnt have much confidence in turner addressing the left back slot or finding a decent striker (or two) - he is not exactly prolific with strikers is he. I would however be cobnfident that a competent manager would be able to get us a side fighting for a play-off position if given the sort of backing CT has had. A few good additions and things may look good again.
