Agreed, that annoyed me too. Sweeneys goal was easily the best north east goal of the weekend by a country mile and like you say, they only showed the ball going in the net.

No wonder we can't get any twat to come watch us when the local press won't even do us justice, they only had to show 5 more seconds which could have been easily cut from that pointless story about the scum down the road.

A fuller version of both goals was shown in the sport section of the NE news on Sunday.
They usually do have a longer section on football on Sundays.

Did anyone note how Soulless that empty concrete bowl the Loids call a football ground seemed on the feature? Even when it showed people outisde in queues (yes queuing to get in 3,300 in a 27,500 capacity stadium!) it was almost eerie.

I for one aren't looking forward to the arse on we have in front of us on that Sunday in March, I have heard from someone you works at Darlo that they are going make us go to Teesside airport and bus us all in from there...... We best set off now.

How did the place ever get planning permission?

It's a Sunday isn't it?? Overtime bonanza for the scuffs, there'll be thousands of them on the gravy train, even though there'll only be 20 soft lads from either side trying to causing bother. They'll be on 200 sheets a man so they'll all need something to do. What was the arrest count at ours last season?? Four.

If I was going I'd be going in 'plain clothes' until I was inside the ground and the car would be half a mile away.

That's ridiculous.

how close are we going to be able to park to the ground should we not want to take a bus ride?

you will get nowhere near the ground using a car.

Its got the worst infra structure of arguably any stadium ever built.

I am amazed they got planning permission.

did they not get permission after they had started it
the usual GR way

I was just looking on an aerial map of the area to see where to park, and there's a housing estate maybe less than half a mile away. possibility of parking there?

and I just realised that the end of the postcode is 1GR... heh, nice permanent reminder.

Although i always park in the car park, there is nowhere nearby to park that isn't resident parking unless you want one hell of a long walk

But even if you couldn't park any nearer than the train station - which I doubt - you're only looking at maybe a 20 minute walk, and you must be able to park near the station.
