There's some right bollocks in this thread.

How many games did Robson play in his proper position for us? He was never a defender. Yeah he used to run with his head down and could lack a final ball but he was inexperienced, barely out of the youth team. You could see his potential though - he could certainly beat his man, which is something he could teach most of our current players. people forget he was actually favoured to Monkhouse at one point as well before getting injured.

He's about two goals off scoring as many for Carlisle as he did in his entire Pools career - what does that tell you about how he was treated here? I once saw him struck in the face with a coin, thrown from the Mill House terrace ffs!!! he just used to get on with it. Typical responses on here towards someone who was given f--k all chance and moved on for the better of his career. I will not be shocked whatsoever if he establishes himself as a decent lower league winger.

Funny that, 2 Carlisle fans i work with told me a bit about him, Sounds exactly the same there as he was here, 9 times out of 10 ball out of the stadium and now and again a bit of flair and a goal. therethere

Sadly, the confidence and consistency was never there.

How can you be consistent when you're in and out of the team, or playing out of position? And where does the confidence come from when you get the stick he did?

He's scored 7 for them this season - it took him about six years at Pools to reach the same total, and I don't think we'd be having this thread if no-one thought he posed any danger. It's dead easy to call someone sh1te, that's all I'm saying.

OH good, because I don't recall calling him shite, ....actually I've got a little secret, those aren't my words, but the words used by a certain poster when he left the club.

Anyone who thinks Robson is better than Monkhouse at this level isnt worth listening to.

Noone said he was but I was replying to this point, and thats why he didnt get his game, why keep him at the club when we have better.

We tried to keep him at the club but he didn't want to stay. No-one has said anything about keeping him in this thread though. Have you skipped through it all as I'm not convinced you've read much of it?

In all honesty, If I was given the choice betweedn the two, I'd plump for Robson. Monkhouse just annoys me now, he seems to play according to his particular mood, which for a long time is of the can't be arsed school.

I wasn't upset that he moved on - I think Monkhouse is the better player and Robson wanted first team football.

But the abuse he used to get, and and has got on this thread, and might get tomorrow night... no need!!! I don't know what people get out of it.

I'm more worried about Duffy to be honest.

If I was turner I would tell Gamble to do exactly that in the first 5 minutes.
