I wouldn't say it was that ridiculous, Sunderland have wasted money with the best of them recently. It says on Wikipedia that the initial fee was half a million Euros, that could have had clauses that would potentially see it rise.

We are struggling like fook, yet we have a player of decent calibre training with us, why not sign him on loan? It seems stpid

according to a few sunderland fans ive spoke to today kevin kyles better bbolt
but yeah, there must be something about him to have went for that much money in the first place... get him on loan till end of season if possible.
