Then pools take till March 8th to appoint a new manager ,new managers first 3 games will be away then home to in form Swindon.
Remember we have no one who can do it on temp basis as West is one of Turners yes men.
So that would give whoever took over 8 games to get the points we would need to escape .
I think we need to keep Turner in charge till end of season then look to replace him.
We have had 2 very hard months , we now need to pick up points as quickly as posible.
Matches I see us picking points up in are
Carlisle 3 points
Southend 3 points
Tranmere 3points
Yeovil 1 point
Orient 1 point
Brighton 1 point
Stockport 3 points
Exeter 3 points
Brentford 1 point
Thats 19 more points , that will give us 51 points and safety.
Lets all stay positive and get behind them till the end of season then we can start looking to get rid of Turner .

We have 32 points now and you think we will get another 16 points.

That adds up to 48 points not 53. sctatchinghead

Pools are going to get some special "plucky" points at the end of the season, for being the pluckiest team in the division and the most gallant losers

Why not I would give it to Barron on a temporary basis till we found someone permanently, he couldn't be worse than current incumbent and if he showed the passion he did as a player he would do me for a few matches.

I fear that would only be repeating the 05/06 scenario, with Turner still running the show in the background and someone else as the fall guy (in that case Stephenson)

I'd rather have CT and bring in Newell as joint boss with Bob Moncur as first team coach alongside Rob Moverley as goalkeeping coach than have that prick come anywhere near my football club.

I would definitely stop going if we gave the job to Martin Allen.

True but my hope was that CT was completely out of the picture. As no longer employed in any way shape or form. And that's from someone who has said he should go back upstairs.

Now I wouldn't even have him there.

Id be very suprised if we picked up 10 points from the whole of your list, there are some decent teams in that list who i think may get the better of us.

because it makes NO difference at all - it only makes a difference when there is some level of competence on the playing and management side of things

It's akin to supporting a team of women against men - what is the point? It won't get any better until the REAL cause of the problems is removed
That sounds like a dig, but I feel very strongly on this matter
I believe falling attendances has to be suffered for the short term, to hopefully make the owners see sense and remove the cancer from this football club - ie Mr Turner

Shouting from the sidelines for this lot is a waste of time - they are without guidance and proper leadership. Until that changes then the team will continue to get beat, regardless of the crowds

It's been time to back the lads for weeks now, but it ain't happening.

Sadly a lot of people are mistaking "Chris Turner" for "Hartlepool United" and are withdrawing support for Pools, when their beef is against Chris Turner.

The thing is EAD, When we try to get a big sing song going we just get looked down upon by the doom mongerers as if we are stupid for not abusing and singing instead and backing the lads, It's like your not allowed to be positive and have a sing song, To be honest i am just getting sick of looked at like i have tourettes for daring to get a song going.. It isnt just Turner, their is a staleness about certain parts of the support too. Everyone needs a kick up the jaxy

Agree with HUFC there, me and mampi (well mampi more so as I can only get to a few games) used to love going and the whole thing of going to pub before etc. I now dont it feels like something I must endure when I am in north-east. We used to throw the half time pints down our necks to get back, now we drink them in normal time and just wander back to the stands.

I haven't withdrawn my support for Hartlepool United, although I am getting closer.

I have had my gripe at Turner, he is just not up to the job and hasn't been since the day he left for Wednesday.

Now my main gripe is with the owners who are blindly backing Turner as he stumbles his way from game to game, from excuse to excuse, clinging on to the managerial reins safe in the knowledge that not only has he the backing of the owners, but he knows in his heart of hearts that he will never ever manage another league side. Which other league chairman would give him a manager's job???? Yes that's right...........nobody in their right mind would take him on.
Where does that leave Hodcroft??????????????
My opinion is that Hodcroft/IOR couldn't care less which league we are in.........they've got what they want and bollocks to the rest of us.
I will not be swayed from that opinion until I see positive action from the owners.
I am not holding my breath.

and that is precisely why I have stopped going.
I cannot accept this situation whereby a failure continues to impose himself on the club and it is basically taking the pi-ss out of each and every one of us
He is basically saying," I'm here - tough - what are you lot gonna do about it"?

A lot of people are staying away who would never do so normally- surely that must register with the club at some level?

If you turn up at the airport and the pilot is being lead to the cockpit by his Guide Dog, you tend to think I'll give flying a miss .... it's the same with managers.

Well I disagree!!!! confised

Turner has proved he is not upto it and IOR said they would never let it happen again....but they are letting it happen again and that is why I've stopped going!!!! sadx

No other club in the League would still have a 'Manager' on the payroll with Turner's record over the last 12 months....NO CLUB....that 'Manager' would have been sacked months ago!!!! confised sadx confised

I havent missed a home game this season so far, and am committed to attending the Carlisle and Southend games as I took the 3 game option, but after that I think I'll be giving it a miss, the only thing that can alter that is a 6+ point haul from the next three games.

Thing is I cant see that happening, this false dawn that the team are suddenly going to turn things around overnight I'm afraid aint going to transpire. The team are still making the same basics errors that allows the opposition in, and because of that the team - I think - will also struggle through the last quarter.

We're like a Whale stranded on a beach, with a lot of concerned people trying to help, but unfortunately the next high tide is too far away.

What is achieved is me saving at least £30 per game....I got sake of hoying that type of money down the drain watching absolute shite and a Manager in charge who can't change things during a game or even try....aswell as having players at the club taking a wage who would struggle to get a game non-league!!!! sadx

Lets just say there is no chance of the manager being replaced..................how do we help the team get the results it needs by not going?

Sorry like. I just dont get it.

And lets face it, you all know I am not CT's biggest fan.

I have this little nugget of optimism in the back of my mind which makes me think that IOR being a business will actually realise that Turners failings is costing the club gate money and get rid of him quicker.

As it is I have a season ticket so it makes no odds if I go to the games or not but I would rather see the non-season ticket holdres save their cash for more worthwhile things and the club suffer in the short term if it ultimately means that IOR eventually get off their arse and dump the fat f*ck.

Alright that might be a bit OTT, but playing front of loud fans giving a good atmosphere generally help the team.

We are 15 games away from potential relegation, and some of you lot would rather not help the team survive.

Sorry like. You can paint it any way you want, make as many excuses as you like, but the only reason for not attending games at this critical time, is financial.

If you can get there, you should.

I bet if we DO get relegated, none of you not attending will feel any responsibility whatsoever.

Like I have said before, I have probably critisised CT more than any of you, but I wont walk away from the team. I cant.

And more than anything else..............I enjoy going to games.........the craic, the pub etc etc.

I cant ever remember just going because we were winning.

You sir are talking some sense lately bbolt , clappp breath of fresh air compared to the doom mongerers! clappp We WILL beat Carlisle tonight

Toss.

The rest of your post contained some good points, but the bit above is pure and simple toss.

Hope that helps.

I've been to Pools this season where the crowd was over 4,000 and the atmosphere was still shite though....another reason why I'm not going out of my way to get there!!!! confised confised

So how would having a bigger crowd help us survive???? sctatchinghead

I tell you what would help Pools survive....the team playing decent Football....and that would get some of the stay-aways back aswell....but I can't see that happening soon like!!!! sadx
