If anyone on here has an A3 that was parked by the Odeon yesterday, they may not know they got a parking ticket off a small ginger woman traffic warden yesterday about 2.45pm. refred
The ticket wasn't on the car when we went past after the game, so someone other than the car owner may have taken it off.
The reason the car got ticketed?
The back tyre was all of about 3 inches on the kerb rage

and the fact the back of the car is blocking access for a wheelchiar to cross the road.

deserved ticket IMO, and if you cant park your car properly, you need to ask yourself if you should be driving that car

Could be owner got a ticket for parking over the low kerb access and not for being on the kerb.

Looking at that photo I would not be surprised if the vehicle was given a ticket because it is blocking the lowered red section of the kerb.

Its more likely the ticket was for blocking the disabled slope onto the road

That lowered red section must be obsolete at that point as that bit of road is a dead end, blocked by the kerb along York Road!
Those raised bobbles must be awful to push a pram or buggy over though, they're bad enough for a shopping trolley!
I'd hate to go over them in a wheelchair too, could be really painful for some injuries.

Yep I got done there during the Milwall game (I only went cos I had a freebie!!) at the exact point.

I saw the spot, never really considered there would be any need for a lowered kerb there so just parked in it. My own fault I guess, but why have a lowered kerb there? If you want to cross to the other side of the road you would surely just use the path which is about five yards away. Fooking ridiculous IMO.

I sent a letter in but the told me to welcome to the board!

Grave- quality! I was looking all over for a picture of The Escaped Goat though!

The bobbles are for blind people to sense the change in surface.

Yeah I know, "tactile paving" but they still must still be painful for some people in wheelchairs.
That bit of road has been a dead end for ages, but I bet that bit of tactile paving was only put there after they decriminalised parking and made ticketing a cash cow for local councils.

It's so logical it's painful, but the people who operate these systems live in a parallel universe alien to most people with just an ounce of common sense.
