I think we will go down. An awful lot rests on the shoulders of James Brown.

I still think getting rid of Turner now would boost our chances of staying up. It wont happen like

If we beat Carlisle on Tuesday then yes I think we'll stay up. If we lose or draw then no I think we've had it.

If we make our feelings known that we've had enough of the manager then maybe the chairman will act.
Then we might just survive this season.

In past years I would agree with this tactic BUT

1) IOR dont listen to our opinions when it comes to matters on the pitch
2) They dont sack managers for bad results so unless Turner brings the club into disrepute etc we are stuck with him
3) Im not convinced eneough fans in the ground CARE anymore. I myself cant even be arsed booing anymore - the soul has gone out of the club and our opinions dont count.

No. I'd love to say we where on a crest of a slump but we haven't got that far yet.

As Confucius once said - "Team who score at 1.2 per game but concede at 1.6 per game go down, especially if they concede 27 in last 13 and score only 16."

Clever man that fella and so if Confucius says we go down we go down.

Never usually post on direct football matters as I can't get to matches and Poolsworld doesn't give the full picture but it's a hesitant yes from me.

There are still a few teams below us and all of them would swap with us. Games in hand count for little at the bottom, you're at the bottom because you can't win games. We've played some strong sides lately and the result was what lots of people predicted- in a relegation struggle by the end of February. We haven't been getting hammered and we have made chances so I'm hoping that James Brown returning will get us a couple of goals and some points. If he does we should just get away with it.

I think Turner will move upstairs at the end of the season whatever division we're in. Sacking him now would be pointless, nobody we'd want is available and acting managers etc just reinforce the feeling of a downwards spiral.

Obviously this can be dismissed as bollocks as I can't get to matches but I felt like giving an answer to the question.

I will be truly gutted if this happens. The bloke can go to hell.

If he is still at the club in some shape or form then I cant see many prospective managers wanting to come here and be the fall guy for Turners failings.

I think you might be right Mr Grave but, like most companies, IOR would want their man in place to keep an eye on any new manager. He did do a good job making the club more professional when he first got here, I think they rate him for that. I used to get my hair cut by Tinkler's wife and he chose us over the Loids because one club appeared to be run by a crook while the other was stable and run like a higher division outfit. Turner gets credit from IOR for that type of thing.

I think the best we'll get is a move upwards but with clearer job demarcation than Director of Sport and manager. Not many clubs have financial stability so an ambitious "coach" style manager might go for it.
