There is no point in us bumping our gums for the rest of the weekend (though it is good to get it out of our system) - so what should the line up be on Tuesday night? Monkhouse is now unavailable for the next two o games because of his booking, so what is your starting 11?

Flinders

Austin
Collins
Liddle
Hartley

McSweeney
Gamble
Jones
Larkin

Boyd
Behan

I'd rather play Bjornsson alongside Boyd than Behan. He's impressed me far more than Behan has this season. Other than that I agree with that team.

After today I'd play:-
Cook

Austin
Liddle (lb)
Cherel
Collins

Gamble
McSweeney
Jones
Sweeney

Boyd
Brown

Then possibly take Brown off at halftime, if he's struggling, and put Bjornsson on.

It doesn't matter which team we put out................under Turner we now have a losing mentality.

Chip- surely you agree that Flinders has been poor the last few months.

If Cook is'nt good enough to come in :-
a) Why did we sign him as second choice, when we could have kept ALB or Budtz.
b) Should he be released at the end of the season.
c) If he's one for the future he should'nt be no.2.
d) Flinders does'nt need to play well as his place is guaranteed.

You do not play a player with no first team experience, in a vital position, in a game in which losing is not an option.

For that reason Flinders plays.

Team for tuedsay

Flinders - He would be destroyed if left out and isn't that bad
Haslam - good defender and don't care that he doesn't cross half way line. Defend and stop others scoring particularly Robson
Liddle - Not as good as people make out but the best we have so....
Hartley - Brought here as centre half and would be playing there if we'd signed Rose, and is too inconsistent at left back. Give him a chance in the middle I say as he has some pace. Collins is too often found wanting for pace and indecision like yesterday.
Austin - Does a good job there.

McSweeny - Chance he has begged for apparently
Gamble - Despite some numpties in the FamilyEnclosure (adults without kids???) who shouted he was shit on saturday is class and our best midfielder by a country mile
Jones - Better breaking from central positions
Larkin - Better out wide than through middle

Boyd - Our leading scorer
Brown - Why have him on the bench to come and on and save or chase a game. On from start to make a difference and replace him with game won.

We need to score first and get the crowd behind team. If we don't the tension and pressure will build. The lads need to put on a show and we deserve something better than yesterday. We can't keep conceding 2 goals a game and goals that teams don't need to work for and then take chances, 37 goals from 31 is pathetic.

Brown won't start given he has only come back from injury. I'd play Bjornsson from the start. Other than that another team I'd happily go along with.

When did he play a season at right back? He filled in and did ok at times last season but he was still a square peg in a round hole, the last time he played full back was against MK Dons when Hartley was suspended. He had an absolute nightmare and was positionally all over the place, Luke Chadwick had a holiday oh and we lost 5-0.

Putting a midfielder at right back, in place of the best right back we've had for ages? confised

Sweeney's not a defender - I'd put him on the right wing - it was shown yesterday that he doesn't have the composure or passing ability to play centre midfield at this level.

The defence is shipping goals for fun.
It needs changing.
I'd play Cherel and Clark if one wasn't suspended.

In fairness ADG I don't think it was our midfield who where the issue yesterday, more the fact that up front the ball didn't stick and we have no pace to trouble their defenders and at the back the Keeper and defenders couldn't distinguish between their arseholes and their elbows at a few crucial moments. Humps would have made no more positive a contribution IMHO.

By the way PJ that's a decent side and love the bit of work in the transfer market. Any chance you could bring in a midfielder say Tommy Miller, Dimi, a powerful centre half and another striker.

It's a struggle to pick 11 worthy of starting a game. Behan shouldn't start after yesterday and if he does there's no point playing Boydy beside him cos Boyd's game doesn't suit playing alongside a targetman type player, especially if that player isn't a soft lazy git.

I'd probably go for;
GK Flinders
RB Austin
LB Haslam
CB Liddle
CB Hartley- terrible at times again on Saturday but cos he's not a left back. I blame the manager rather than the kid who you can see tries his heart out and I think he'd do well in his proper position.
RM McSweeney- A right sided player who's played well in patches, give him another go.
LM Humphreys- only other sensible option would be Fredriksen, I wouldn't be upset to see him given a chance in his proper position.
CM Gamble
CM Jones
CF Boyd
CF Fk knows. If Brown is fit enough to start he's a cert, but is he fit enough? To get the best out of Boyd he needs the right type of partner, so if no Brown get O'Donovan on loan and give him a go.

Even without O'Donovan on loan putting out that side and dropping Behan then using Bjornsson or Greulich (who is allegedly a forward) would actually make me feel positive that Tubby is thinking about who plays in what position and not which players he gets on with.

We could lose 10-0 and at least he would have had a go.

Behan should be dropped after that abject performance. Lazy fooker that he was/is.

i would go for...

------------------------Flinders

---------------Liddle--- Collins ---Hartley

McSweeney---------------------------------Fredriksen

-------------Jones----Gamble----Humphreys

--------------------Boyd-----Larkin--------------

Turner knows 3-5-2, he knew(hell maybe he still remembers) how to set the formation so that we were hard to beat and good going forward.

Something needs to change, and if its not going to be the manager then it needs to be the set-up.

I think you have about as much chance as Jordan being accepted into MENSA than either of them happening
