I genuinely think we suffered from some serious bad luck today. We had 2 shots cleared off the line in the opening stages and I for one certainly didn't complain at the team that started. We were getting shots on goal and causing Huddersfield problems and then, after they bundle in a scrappy second, how does Turner react? He takes off our best goal poacher! It was like I was watching Sweden v England at Euro 92 all over again.

Get yourself a proper job Turner man. You're not a football manager.

bad luck?? after that incident on the stroke of half time where huddersfield were about to score a goal and the ref pulled back play as Hartley was on the floor in the other box.

It wasnt bad luck, we just had too many players off form and an truly incompetent manager

THE MOST INCOMPETENT MANAGER IN THE HISTORY OF POOLS IMO

Only decision we got all day. We played 12 men today, and it a long time since I blamed the referee for a defeat.

It was a foul on Hartley (the reason he was on floor for referee to call it back) and a penalty, from were I was stood in town end it was also a penalty on Brown. We didn't deserve to win but that performance by Taylor the referee is up there with the worst I've seen.

The ref was dreadful but you cant honestly blame him for the defeat. He may have given them the majority of the decisions but of the 2 major decisions in the game (the penalty and the stopping of play for the hartley 'foul') went both ways. The one on brown was not a penalty in a million years.

To blame the ref for that defeat would be just wrong. I suspect Turner will do this like. clueless pompous f*cker

I was amazed more wasn't made of the penalty claim by Brown when he was pulled down by their full back (who, for the record, has to be the most lousy defender I have seen at the vic this season). I thought he'd awarded a penalty until I realised the clown had given a goal kick instead.

A point to consider. If he didn't think the Huddersfield player had fouled Brown why didn't he book Brown for diving?

Agree with you Grave, please nobody come on and blame the ref for the defeat. He was as bad for them as he was for us and yes he was bad. We where not good enough and it was men against boys, not ecause Huddersfield have more money or a better stadium or history or any of that bollox but because they are better organised and more commanding in every position.

We lost because we gave away another abysmal goal through shit defending and we were inept in most positions.

We are exactly where we all predicted we would be back in December and after we drop more points on tuesday we'll be in the bottom 4. The table looks horrendous but is a true reflection of our ability, it's not through bad luck, dodgy refs or anything other than our inability to stop giving sides a goal start with poor defending and an inability to pass the ball to each other and take chances when they appear.

Oh and the penalty for huddersfield was a stone waller. I dont think the referee made any friends today, from both camps.

We were beat because we were not good enough. Too many players were poor (or worse). Even Austin had a poor game and I thought pigs would fly before I ever said such a thing!!!

I don't agree that Huddersfield were considerably better than us at all. Based on that performance I'm astonished they are pushing for promotion. Fair enough I don't think we deserved to win but to suggest it was men against boys is a little over the top IMO.
