A few of my mates have said they are losing a few Sports Channels. Anyway, aren't all these boxes going to switch off next month?

If its a eurovox do this...

Here goes then:

Press menu (if it ask for a password its usually 4 zeroes)

Go along to config and go down to clear data (again it might ask for a pin, same number again.
go down to factory default, then along to symbol rate 6887, then press ok.... that should delete all your channels....then do a scan....... let me know if you get sorted or not and you can phone me and I will talk you through it...

Along similar lines to poolielad

from satkings.org

I have seen a few posts about channels missing when doing a full scan.
Here's a little trick you can try that may help if you're having problems finding any particular channels or are missing channels:
Try and determine the lowest transponder frequency that you can get a signal on. Look at the frequencies you already have on the channels saved so far and choose the lowest.
Then in the installation menu select MANUAL SCAN and set that as the frequency. Make sure you can see a signal and scroll down to Network scan and change to ENABLE with the Right arrow. While still highlighted, click OK.
Scanning should then begin. It will say 1/1 to start with but should then jump up to 1/?? (the ?? being 2 digits). Using this method my Starview indicated it scanned 56/56 transponder frequencies as opposed to 48 in Auto scan on one main provider. I also gained a few extra channels. The other transponders may have been picked up by scanning other providers on the same symbol rate.

hth

I had the same problem, after my powerscan i had to manually add another channel. i googled for the frequency number for ss1, the other number is the same 6.887 and it worked.

I also googled for the frequency for e4 etc, as these had been missing for a while, added another channel and ive now got these again.

Pay for a Sky subcription. It's less hassle.

I don't mind the hassle unlike paying £50 a month for sky.

Right do this....

Press menu..

Press installation

On the top line, (right hand side) it will probably say "tw" (telewest) change that to "ntl"

Then go down to auto scan, press ok and it will scan, all your new channels will be at the bottom of your current list of channels... let me know how you get on...

When you've re-scanned your channels they will not return to where they were. Before i re-scanned i had 300 channels, now i have 900+. So check how many channels you have and look there confised I had to delete my old one's that said "No signal" and replace them with the new one's that were found in the 800's :coool:

i hate how tv companies advertise that they have like 400-500 channels, most of them are shit, bid up tv and all that crap, porn channels, daft music channels.

There is a million channels on virgin and i'd be surprised if i watched 10 of them.
