I feel bad for criticizing after he made at least 2 stunning saves today, but what the hell is going on with him and the defenders?

They're scared stiff of leaving the ball for him... we're having mix-ups virtually every match. He didn't start off like this - what's happened?

and I might be harsh in saying this but didn't he clatter one of his own defenders right before their 2nd goal?

i think its fair to say that he has and will continue to make mistakes. Its his first run of games as a 1st choice keeper in his career.

What he does do, is pull off top drawer saves at important times, like Dimi used to.

I didn't think Leeds were anything special today, but they could, and probably would, have been 3-0 up at half time with a lesser keeper in goal.

I genuinely think this lad will play in the Premier League at some point in his career. There are aspects of his game he needs to work on, but he certainly has the potential.

He certainly kept us in it with his saves, first half in particular. The one he tipped onto the bar, there are very few keepers who would have reached that, and the top corner bound effort he tipped over was a stunning reflex save.

Just hope he sorts it out with the defenders though, it may be their fault more than his, but they need to sit down and sort it out cos its happening every match.

The difference between Leeds and Hartlepool today was....when Leeds had a chance they'd finish it with more quality where as we lacked conviction. Thankfully Flinders was on hand to save those efforts.

Flinders is an all round quality keeper who would be Leeds no. 1 if he played for them.

But he plays for us.

Turner said he wouldn't swap him for any other keeper in the division.......i couldn't agree more.

A bit young and inexperienced, but a star in the making, guaranteed.

Agreed he made some great saves today but thought he should have saved the first which was a weak header and he just fell under it and the communication (or lack of it) between him and the back line was worrying.

the lack of communication certainly wasn't Flinders fault in the main, i heard him clearly call for things on two occasions and the defenders either ignored him or panicked or decided to use their own judgement. I think some of that stems from low confidence as they have been leaking a few goals.

True but I also think the defenders dont have much confidence in Flinders timing at coming for the ball. A couple of times early on he never came when it was his ball but got better as game wore on.

The first time I saw Dimi play was a pre season friendly at Inverness Caledonian Thistle under Neale Cooper and boy was he awful. Didn't turn out too bad after being given a run of games did it?

Most people would have given their right arm to have him back pre season.

Give Flinders a break, no keeper is faultless. Look at David James...the former king of blunders. How many ENGLAND caps did he get?
