It has probably given Turner another 3 to 5 games to save his job.

Well done pools.

You can't be positive, even with a result like that. Perhaps if he carries on getting results like that, it proves him and IOR RIGHT

If we got beat 6-0 today, Turners job would still be safe. Get use to it.

Maybe Turner was right about the team getting settled. It was just his prediction as to when that would be that he got wrong.

at least we won't finish the season having played the biggest 4 teams and got zero points!!
At last something to cheer about!!!
It shouldn't get to the point where we become immune to the pain of losing - it should always hurt because there has been a fight - but the fight at least produced a result today

If Turner picks the right players in midfield even I might be persuaded that all is not lost.
The team could be under enormous pressure though in two weeks though, as failure to beat Huddersfield could result in a distinct possibility of Pools sitting in the bottom 4 that day - and that's the bottom line. The team needs a win in the next game

Bringing Jones on changed the game and in the end we could easily have won that.

You can guarantee that Humps will start the next game though. He'll probably start Jones but drop someone else.

humphreys cannot possibly start the next game. his performance today was as bad as any i have seen from a pools player in the last decade.

the entire team lifted when he went off.

we started playing good football as soon as jones came on, and it changed the game.

I agree mate but sadly I have no confidence in Turner to take a deep breath and drop him. Love to be proven wrong like. A poor display from Humps. Gave the ball away far too often, including the one that led to their first goal. It was certainly given away in his area of the pitch so I assume it was him.

You are being negative, come our next defeat then moaning will be expected and made.

State your fact our the next defeat. But then it wont be 3-5 games people think he has it be he should go now.

Christ give credit when it due.

Turner will get enormous credit from me if he shows some balls and does right by the team, the club, and most importantly the fans.
The interests of one or two club stalwarts have to come way down the pecking order in our situation.
Can't Port Vale find room for an old midfield schemer?
