I'm getting the pools badge on the left side of my chest.
I'm going to the place in Murray street.
I've not had a tattoo done before and I might go for the numbing gel.
Will it hurt if I do it without?

If we still had the gibson era badge with the stag/hart then I would have had one on my arm but the ships wheel badge is toss.

The pain of having that shit on display when you go swimming or whatever will far outweigh the pain of the half hour getting the thing done.

Get one of the old retro badges instead. The ships wheel will probably (hopefully) be replaced soon anyway and you dont want to be left scarred with that shiit.

Do u know if the numbing gel actuall works.
It's an extra tenner but will be well worth it if it saves me a hour of suffering.

Why not get Mr Escape Goat!?

I could design/personalise it for you if you like.

That would be awesome!

a mate of mines had a couple, he said the numbign gel is pants cos they put it on but soemtiems near the edges its not on as much so if it goes out of the numbing gel it hurts even more cos ur not expecting it whereas without the gel you can brace yourself for it. if that makes any sense

Yes Sussex, it's only available in Hartlepool. Every household is given a tub, and when Ray Simpson comes on Radio Tees you are advised to rub the numbing gel into your ears.

Heard the gel works, expect more than an hour for a colour hartlepool badge, possible 2 and a half hours i reckon

What are the worst tattoo’s everyone has ever seen?

I know of someone who amongst his crackers has scribbled in a rather home made style on his arm 'Sex' 'Man U' and a swastika.

At what point were any of the above a good idea, the 'Man U' for example as far as I'm aware he's not even into football never mimd Manchester United!!

Designing a tat would be easy for you pal :grin:Two rings round your eyes , and a finger on your forehead...

There is a bloke in Hartlepool who went to a tatooist to get a pig tail on his arse ( as in curly porcine pink tail) - he thought it would be funny.

The communication wasn't the best and the ink artist thought he meant pig tail as in a girly hair style - he ended up with a blurred pink dangly bruise/bed sore looking mark on his arse.
I would of laughed but it was so tragic.. OK so I did laugh alot.

Why not get the current pools badge, but instead of the ball in the middle, have him put Andy Capp in

I'd have fook all with St George.
What's all this fascination anyway.
I may as well get Mary Poppins.
She didn't really exist either :)

outline stings a little bit, thats about it, even the tattooist will advise you against the numbing gel, it barely makes a difference and is a waste of money.
