Apparently gays can be employed by the Catholic church provided they don't tell anyone they're gay, or bum men.

I remember when 'outing' meant a day trip.

I've always had a bit of a morbid curiosity about Catholicism, given that my Grandad renounced it to marry my Protestant Gran, only to embrace it again when she died.

It's not possible to renounce being a left footer, you're either a Catholic or a lapsed Catholic but you're still a Catholic of whatever sort.
