Just been down to the ticket office to get a ticket for what I believe to be an all-ticket match next Saturday.

It's closed.

Several other people were also down there wanting to buy tickets too.

So HUFC are officially morons. There can be no other explanation for the ticket office being closed the Saturday before an all-ticket match, especially seeing as though loads of people will have just been paid this week for the first time since Christmas, unless they really don't want anybody to go to the match next weekend.

I really am astonished and disappointed that whoever is running the club is allowing this type of maladministration to occur. I guess I'll have to find something else to spend my money and time on instead next Saturday.

Although there'll be people who don't work piling onto this thread asking why people can't buy tickets Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm.

Aye Mr Yubep. I didn't expect them to be open all day hence why I went down this morning even though it didn't really fit in with plans as I've left the wife trying to feed the baby and do some work at the same time.

I even went round to the club shop, which WAS open, but they can't sell tickets from there!

Can your lass not feed the baby, do the washing up and make your dinner all at the same time?

Got a mate and his wife coming up for the Leeds game and as Ripper did went down this morning for 2 tickets really annoys me when basic management like this is ignored.

Knowing pools as we do I'd have checked first before travelling.
It's ok for Ripper though, he only lives round the corner in Cameron Road:)

It's a bit cack really when they wont open on a Saturday, the last real day most working people can buy a ticket before the leeds game.

I'm sure someone will come on soon saying this and that and how amazing the club are, i'd feel the same if i got free tickets every week too!

Ripper i work right next to pools, if you wanna drop the money off at mine i can go get your tickets on my lunch break then you can pick em back up from mine after work any night next week, no bother to me it's only 2 seconds up the road.

Today must be classed as a non matchday hence the closure.

Is this down to a cock up or is it a cost cutting measure? When the crowds drop even IOR will have a breaking point as to how much theyre prepared to lose.

They'd be making money!!

Theyll say that fans can buy them during the week or over the phone so why pay someone to work a saturday?? That way theyll make eevn more money providing people make the effort to buy midweek. So dont say I havent thought it through!! Thats the way cost cutting works, we've seen enough of these bright ideas to last a lifetime so dont complain when it starts happening at your place either.

As for lashing out cos the games off, nah, it doesnt bother me cos I didnt go but I feel for those who made the effort.

Cheers for the offer mate, but to be honest I've tried to get a ticket and they obviously aren't bothered about how many people go to games so they can sod off.

Like I said above too, I wasn't the only one who was wanting to buy tickets today so if I saw a few people in the couple of minutes that I was there then a good estimate would be that there'd be at least 100+ disappointed folk today and probably more. The chances of all of them making a second effort to buy them will be zero.

And by the way loid, if it was a cost cutting exercise that was deliberate then they'd have put the tickets in the club shop where there was staff to sell them. It's not a cost cutting exercise, it's yet another example of the people running the club putting themselves first and treating the supporters like a necessary evil.

Because the tickets are sold using a computer system utilising the infamous 'club database' if they sold them in the club shop anyone could just walk in and buy a ticket.

We wouldn't want that, that is far too easy.

Because the people that KH trusts to run the administrative side of the club think that the world revolves around them and that everybody has to jump around to their tune.

In their world they'll think that it's perfectly reasonable to only sell tickets between 10am and 4pm on a weekday for an all ticket match. Obviously because they are a bit thick.

And then they question why crowds are down.

Like I said previously, you couldn't make it up.

Our ticket office is in the club shop so if you go down to go to the shop you actually have to ask ticket office staff to serve you. At least you can get a ticket at the same time though!

That was the way it used to work for us, but they are independent of each other now.

I tell you what, I'm expecting there to be some from of article on the official site or in The Mail this week where some muppet from the club is bemoaning the lack of tickets sold for the Leeds game and expressing surprise as to how many they've shifted.

HUFC should really be able to call someone in to run the ticket office on a saturday. I know all ticket games are rare these days for home games but surely someone can be called in to sell tickets to fans. One of the stewards or even one of us could probably look after things. As for it being cost cutting it's more to do with staff being unable to work certain hours because of having kids and commitmnts, it would cost HUFC about 35 quid or a couple of tickets to open the ticket office on an away saturday, i really don't think we are at the stage yet of penny pinching that much yet

Or a better idea for ticketing, Utilise this amazing technology called "The Internet" fans can get tickets online, dunno how it would work around the "Database" thingy, But I'm sure some bright sparks could do it upon request. Other clubs seem to do it... Technology ey - Embrace it

That would have saved Ripper a trip and people who work can get tickets during the working day and maybes pick them up from a certain part of the ground on a Saturday, or have em' posted
