Dear God its took him a while to say something like this:

""I think we're as good as anyone in this division"

Why keep banging about big clubs then Chris!

"People have to realise to get into the top six is very difficult for the majority of clubs in this division."

He has a point. Only 6 of them can. rolfl

He seems to think the fans are frustrated because we're not in the top 6 or competing with the likes of Leeds, Charlton and Norwich.

It's not the case at all. We're frustrated because the team hasn't put in a good performance, against anyone, for months. Despite the talent we have in the squad.

Virtually every player is playing short of their full potential, whether it's management, morale, tactics, communication, whatever. They are not performing. The last time I was genuinely pleased by a performance was against Burnley in August last year. We've even had convincing wins since then, but they've come against clueless opposition (yes there are some in this division) and I've certainly not been encouraged by our general play.

We don't expect to compete with the 'big' teams Turner so often mentions. We just expect the quality of the squad to be somewhere near replicated in the performances they give.

He obviously reads the message boards incuding this one so here goes Chris.

I am not griping because we are not in the top six.
I am not griping because we are fourteenth.

Ok ??????????????????

What am I griping at then?????????????

The way we are playing at the moment we are heading for relegation. Just take the last twelve games............yielded eight points out of a possible thirty six.
Take your last sixty games in charge...sixteen wins.
We have just played a team who came to the Vic having amassed two points on the road this season. It was a must win game. Only you can't see that.
After this difficult period that you talk about we have a run in against teams like Gillingham. How many of these teams do YOU expect us to beat????
We need around twenty one points to be safe. Where do you see those points coming from.
Your record in this league at various clubs is appalling and it doesn't look like getting better.
You are forever bigging up the opposition......they are in the same league as us. Ok, some of them are bigger than us and in the near future will probably get promoted but while they are here they are league one clubs. Treat them as such.
Last season you managed to keep us up by the skin of your teeth. people gave you some slack because it wasn't your team. Since then you have signed fourteen players and retained Foley and Mackay. It is now your team, your squad. How much progress have we made???? We have no more points in the bag than we had last year.
We just aren't performing to our potential. Why is that? Are the players you signed not good enough? Are you not good enough to get the best out of them? Or is it a combination of both?
Where have the crowds gone? Why have the crowds gone? Have you any idea?
Can you give any of us any reason why we should believe that your record in this division at Wednesday, Stockport and Hartlepool is suddenly going to get better and by better I mean considerably better?????
Up to now you have been a well respected person. For your own sake and the sake of the club you need to have a long look at your record and potential, before you become hated. Nobody wants to see that.
Surely by now you must realise that the job is too much and, as such, you just can't hack it.
Please do yourself a favour and let someone else, preferably an outsider with fresh ideas, have a go. sadx sadx sadx

Can't disagree with any of that Mr Derwent clappp

This is the overwhelming feeling of nearly every single person you talk to, many of them have stopped going to Pools.

Next time there is an "Ask Chris" request you should send that in Mr Derwent. I can only agree 100% with you. In fact, email it in anyway and hope CT gets to read it.

Got to agree with derwent here. He makes many very valid points without resorting to the usual bile spouted by so many others.

no, but I hear we played ok. maybe it's unfair of me to say we haven't played well for months but the numerous performances I have seen have been so bad that i'm angered into comments like that. but the way we are playing especially at home doesn't give anyone any hope whatsoever.

If you lose you haven't played well enough in some respect and Charlton are not unbeatable.
