When Turner kept us in the league we spent over 200k to secure strodder, freestone and jones. If any lower league manager had that money at their disposal then they would of kept us up. Strodder was solid but he hardly got the best out of freestone or jones.

We made the play offs and lost under his leadership but we were like the chelsea's of division four at times signing player after player. Turner did get us playing good football and in his first spell he talked a good game but apart from when he brought Boydy on against Shrewsbury about 10 years ago he has hardly made a sub in a game to change things for the better.

Most (edit ALL) the clubs he leaves have an up surge in form and that even happened at Pools for Mike Newell's first 18 games or so if I remember rightly - when turner took over at sheff wed and talked about getting them in the uefa cup

It's really disappointing me the way he is behaving.

"some people forget what I've done for this club"

Has this been voluntary work Chris? Like John Orley perhaps? Or have you been paid a very good wage? Yet you seem to spend your time at the minute having a dig at the very few people who are left PAYING to support the club. I think you seem to forget that we all spend £400+ every season just to watch Pools at home, and that during the time you fooked off we were still here supporting the club and enjoying the best times we've had. So stop patronising us and stop alienating us further.

I am totally gutted with the way he is conducting himself, I'm beginning to dislike the bloke. If he'd acted with any sort of humility and class in the last few months a few of us might even still be behind him.

Misplaced arrogance, a man who feels he’s untouchable in the club.

I meant 'untouchable at the club' what I typed sounds like a shite R&B lyric.

Didnt he try and get rid of Boyd to Boston for around £20k at one point?

he's the 2nd best manager i have ever seen at Pools (based on his 1st spell), only JUST behind Neale Cooper. He built an awesome team and some of Neale Coopers success was based on the team & spirit in the squad that Turner had put together. Games like the 7-1 victory over Swansea plus several thumpings of other teams really was some of the best times of my life as a Pools supporter. I genuinely felt like crying the day he left for Sheff Wed.

However, the TRUE greats of the game are the ones who are humble and don't rub their 'successes' in peoples faces.

I have lost some respect for him over this comment and it's a great shame, it really is.

No that was Cooper.

He didn't try and get rid of him , they couldn't afford what we wanted for him.

The rest was history!

It's the sort of line you throw out when you're losing the argument....and the plot.

It is the sort of remark that I would expect from Hodcroft.
In fact I would bet good money that is were Turner got it from.

"Somebody has forgotten what WE have done for this club" - Compo

Thats right Mr Turner, we were there before and will be after you, the true supporters of (my) dark ages of the club around the 90's when we were awful still stayed. He is wallowing in past glories and needs to go. The fans are this club Mr Turner and not you!! These fans who remember the hard Gibson times you are driving away and will not return unless you go.

Well put Mr Compo.

Impossible to argue with that. Turner's time has come. If HE can't see that, then he will need to be replaced to give us a fighting chance of stopping up.

Looking at the bigger picture, that draw was a defeat on Tuesday night.
