Obviously, picking the ball out of the net isn't counted as a save in Turner's world.
He should know. After all, he was a goalie!

Paraphrasing Turner:

"Scott Flinders didnt have to make a save until the 75th minute"

sctatchinghead

Errrr Chris, we were two down by then. bbolt

You generally don't get the chance to make a save when you gift someone a free header from six yards in the second minute.

Did he always talk this much rubbish or is it a recent phenomenon?

Its just started. Talking like a manager and saying the right things always used to be what he was best at. Even that has turned to shit now unless were just being a bit more picky?

Sorry if it insults anyone (except Turner) but the guy is a complete and utter clown. He has lost the plot completely (if he ever had it).

IMHO the most useless manager in the history of Hartlepool United.

I was chatting to a pools supporter today who said that he has given up going and it dawned on us that if any previous pools manager had the backing which Turner has had we would be doing better than we currently are.

IOR love him because he files all the reports etc and does the things they like a manager to do on the administrative side... sadly he has the football brain equivalent of a microbe which is what really counts so far as we are concerned
Sadly IOR's administrative preferences trump any football qualities so he stays

Poppycock.

Maybe you should keep your avatar as it appears to be an indicator of what you're posting.

sorry but I wholeheartedly agree about Turner
The man is simply nowhere near good enough to manage at this level. He has never succeeded yet in the third tier of professional football, and he never will

no he's not because I completely disagree with the notion that he was poor the first time he was here - because quite clearly he gave us some great times in the early 2000's

His record since is that of a man who has truly lost all belief in his own decision making and there is doubt at every turn. Disastrous to have someone like that in charge now
Managers have their time, and his came in 1999 and then went again 7 years ago.
That's a long time to be a bad manager and still in the professional ranks.
I will stand by my view that not a single other football league club, or Blue Square Premier club, would currently employ him as a manager

my statement was aimed at the current chris turner to be honest rather than the previous chris turner who knew his arse from his elbow.

I currently have less confidence in chris turner than any other manager in the last 20 years. apart from maybe viv busby

all bad managers as you say, but they never had the funds available Turner has had - so in my eyes he's making a worse job of it
