Weird that this game will probably see the lowest crowd for a league game in a decade at the Vic yet it's an absolutely massive game, we can't afford to do anything less than win.

Pools 2-1 Gillingham

Boyd 89 Gamble 90.

2,588

Two faced people who only minutes before were baying for blood will applaud the team from the field.

they seem to be shite at the minute and it's probably Pools' last opportunity to get any points for a few weeks.
Shit or bust - and after 9 defeats in the last 12 league matches I say bust
2-1 to them

I think we'll see sub 2,500 cause they'll only bring 50 or so, if that.

1-1 draw, Boyd

I hate predicting a defeat for my own team but....

We all know what happens when a team on a long run of away defeats comes to town, we generally become the soft touch and give them it.

I'll say, with a very heavy heart, 1-2 with an attendance of 2455.

Hope I'm very wrong on both accounts.

3149, attendance still boosted from all those 3 game kids tickets they sold (thats as long as they have all forgotten about the MK dons visit)

2-0 with Gamble opening his account, and Behan putting the win safe (and if this happens i full expect the final 15 mins to be a scramble, 3 points is all that matters)

to be fair I think trying to win this game is paramount regardless of what the crowd will be. A couple of hundred extra people isn't important in the greater scheme of things - i.e. keeping a neck lead over the bottom four.
Without the Gills game tomorrow, by the time the Leeds and Norwich games have passed the team would BE in the bottom 4 - this game gives them a chance to stay out of it at least until the middle of Feb - by which time the difficult looking games will be coming to an end.
Psychologically staying out of the bottom 4 is more important than anything.
On the flip side, Gills will know how weak Pools are right now and will be going all out to win this one.
A very close and tense match - but again Pools could lose it from the dugout once again. like so many games already. Lose this and it's good night in my opinion - the slide will have begun from the top of the slope and with nobody to put the brakes on, it's difficult to see how it can be stopped
