If he does go who do you think we should go for.

Jim Gannon would shake things up a bit, but apparently he does it a bit too much.
Colin Calderwood is at the toon and has learnt from his mistakes at Forest apparently.
Or... and bear with me on this.....Kevin Keegan. He would be a massive signing as was Beardo and he made massive impact off the pitch certainly and brought back some excitement and grew the crowds at a time we where at a very low eb. Keegan would bring a lot of experience and fire up passion in people to come back to the Vic and would bring the sort of exciting attacking football we crave, and he is tactically good at that level as proved at Fulham. He would raise the profile and make the club bucket loads of money off the field and get the players to play with pride, confidence and passion and get the floating support back and attract many of the towns plastic Toon fans to give us a go. It would give the town and the club a massive injection......Perhaps an injection is what i need to calm down.....anyway back on earth Gordon Chisholm ( ex Mackem defender ) is doing a fantastic job with Queen of the South in Scotland and has them sitting second in the first division and got them to the SFA cup final and into europe. He was considered for the Kilmarnock job recently and is very highly regarded. I holiday in Dumfries and Galloway alot and they love him up there and he seems a bit like Cooper with energy and a bit of heart and bite. Any other ideads?

The feckin Chuckle brothers could do a better job. There are people on this board who could get our squad playing better football than CT currently is.

Anybody with half a clue about football tactics will suffice. We have had a lot of managers down the years who got slated but none of them got anywhere near the backing that Ct has had.

Waste of time speculating anyway, because the only way Turner will leave the only job he will ever get in football (i.e. Pools) is in a wooden box

We can always dream though.

(I never thought i would be so negative towards CT as he turned us around in his first spell, it reminds me of the sadness I felt when Houchen was booed and sacked, but we can only take so much)

Houchen would have done anything for the backing and investment which Ct has had. Im sure he wouldnt have done any worse

Houchen was stubborn, that was his downfall. He holds a lot of grudges, even to this day. Pools track record in appointing good managers is probably one in 7 or 8 I would say.

Well he went to a Gillingham team in freefall.
Then was his next club Peterhead?
He isn't doing a particularly bad job there!!!

Now I'm no expert on jocko football, but 8th out of 10 in their Scottish 2nd division is hardly great is it?

I've followed his fortunes at Peterhead, like I have done with previous pools managers.
In his first season he just missed out on the play offs.
Second season they lost in the play offs.
If they'd had been promoted to league 1 of the Scottish league on a part time budget he'd have more than proved his worth as a fantastic lower league manager.
The best manager ever of Hartlepool United.

Someone nasty with endless amounts of passion and even just a basic knowledge of tactics would do me.
