Thats an excellent read.
It shows how much the club want to attract new fans and I can't think of a better way to go about it.

How is it 'chalk and cheese' and so what if it is?

More people use this forum so you are bound to get more differing views, every single person wants the best for the club or we wouldn't spend hundreds and in most cases thousands of pounds following it, I think we have some great people working at the club and it's come on leaps and bounds I'd just like them to make things more simple. The club are always asking for feedback I can't think of a better place for feedback than this.

I think the link was put up to illustrate what the club are doing behind the scenes to attract fans.
Now surely no-one can argue that going to each school in the town and giving away free tickets is a bad idea................or can they

Eh?

Nobody is complaining about the club going into schools and giving free tickets.

I applaud the club for that, like I applauded them for the 50, and 75 pound season tickets. Great idea.

But this latest ticket offer is just plain daft.

No, nobody is even f*** MENTIONING that.

because most people think its a great idea, and its something the club have done in the past anyway. ive said at least 3 times on the other thread its a great idea getting kids involved.

what i think the club should be doing is finding a way to speak to those not going and asking them what it would take to get them going and bring their kids along.

fwiw i think this would have been a much better idea if they had chosen the leeds, huddersfield and carlisle games. 2 saturdays, and all 3 high profile games with a good crowd in the away end.

stick some dancing girls on, get hangus more involved, maybe a bit of face painting etc, given em all a free flag or summatt and bunged em all in the family enclosure so they are all sat together.

now that is joined up thinking for yer.

maybe they picked the games they did as they are 3 games where we are more likely to win?

Maybe their thinking was gets the kids to see Pools winning each match and get hooked that way, rather than trying to get them hooked on the atmosphere?

I'd imagine the problem with the MK Dons game is that it has come too quickly in the sense that a number of tickets would have already been sold at full price. To offer a reduction a few days before the match could cause a few problems.

Tom Hark worked, and it worked well.

Slight over kill towards the end which got people sick of it, playing it at the end after we lost was a bit daft.
