The bairn was using her laptop last night & word now says she needs a passkey,Ive tried the one on the sticker on the bottom of the laptop but no joy,any ideas where it will be ?

Same happened with mine.

You have to call the number on the sticker and get them to re-set it.
It's a pain in the Ronson, mind. Long calls to Karachi and some gadge going under the name of Roger, when he's really Ranjit. sctatchinghead

have you tried looking in the help file by pressing f1,it may only be a trial version our lasses is and it allows so many goes before it asks for the pass key,then it tells you to go on the internet to purchase it

Chanes are your trial has expired thats why its asking you for a passkey, only way is to get a cracked version or buy it

So next question is can I remove it from the laptop & how do I install my old office 2000 when the laptop has no cd drive ?

If you got a back up disc with the laptop you can find the key on there on a sticker on the paper disc cover. I realise not all computers come with discs nowadays, but that is where mine is and my computer is only 6 weeks old.
