I've been checking out ticket prices for the Superbowl in Miami next month, and it seems that in the US, ticket touting is a legal business. One firm ticketcity.com is pricing them from $1,716 (1,077pounds) to $2,795 (1,756pounds).

The NFL face value of the tickets is $800 to $1,000, and the sellers are complaining they're had to "slash" prices by up to 40 per cent because of the recession.

Mind you, The Who's on at half-time. And when I saw the Dallas Cowboys play the Arizona Cardinals at Dallas yonks ago, Mr BB King was the entertainer. Of course it didn't beat those poor, half frozen, young girls who used to "dance" at Pools.

I'm hopefully going to get over in the next year and watch the Cleveland Browns, love the sport. The Superbowl is the dream though.

Surely poofs rugby is rugby union?

American football is a bizarre game in that it is only when the fairly odd rules are understood that it becomes clear that there is more going on than big guys running with a ball.

I think it is probably the most thoughtful sport - like chess between the coaches using 20 stone meatheads as chess pieces.

Note for Poolie Bri - the San Diego Chargers are an outstanding prospect to win this year's superbowl and are available at 4/1 last time I looked.

does watching the cleveland browns count ?

5-11 this year. Not too bad, a good QB and we'd have been 8-8.

I like the look of the Chargers for the Superbowl, could be between them and the Colts I think.

Gridiron was a invented as a spectator sport and now tv has taken further on fantastic sporting event.
The wembley game this year may hold 2 games 1 after another go if you can great day out.

I've registered for tickets, as have a couple of colleagues at work. Hopefully one of us is drawn in the ballot.

Apparently the World Egg Jarping Championships at Peterlee are worth a visit. You can fly into Shotton International, stay at the Sunny Blunts Plaza, eat as much black pudding and pork scratchings as you like, with a ringside seat at the Labour Club for as little as £67.50. Subject to acceptance of course.

Me and the dragon are thinking of going for our 85th Wedding Anniversary.

I used to hate the fooking NFL.
But about 3 years ago, a mate got me into it, and I'm slowly starting to love it.
