Think I'll bet on him to score on Saturday a gamble on Gamble

if he is anything like what turner said ie tommy widdrington we should have a brilliant signing. Someone to shout at others and doing the dirty work in midfield

does this mean the end for richie

Probably should play Ritchie at left back while Hartley sits out 3 games and keep Austin at right back so that we don't disrupt the whole defence. Gamble doing the midfield dynamo role similar to Tinks might bring out the best in Sweens and Jones who can bomb on a bit and he might be the player who will give the ball to Monkey more.

Can't wait for MK Dons now to see how good he really is, If he's owt like Tinks or Widds then we'll be fine this year.

the club have made an attempt to rectify the poor football by signing a midfielder with a good reputation, so they deserve every credit for that.Let's hope the manager can inspire himself somehow, and then inspire the team.
As somebody said somewhere, he's done it before at Pools, so why can't he at least try and reproduce that?
God knows what happened to him since he left here in 2002

But if he keeps passing to me wouldn't that make him need glasses and the ball will be going out of play all the time. Mind I've got a sweet right foot to cross it back into the middle.

Great signing.

Thanks ADG. Lets hope he's the type of player we've been waiting for.

I'd only play Richie Humphreys at left back if he was the absolute last option. This includes Lawrence and that raffle selling woman with affro hair.

We need a mifielder who will occasionally taake a booking for the team like Willie used to, hope he is a real batler because if he is he will inspire others to get stuck in and raise their game, A bit more of this is sometimes needed, players standing tall together rather than being powder puff like we sometimes can be.....

Hopefully he is as good as Turner says he is, we have struggled in that area since tinks went, Boland was ok but didn't play anywhere near enough games to have an impact on the team.

Personally i'd like to see jones in the middle with him as i think we will be much more creative with him rather than sweeney, who in my opinion flatters to deceive in this division.

we now have a genuinely decent league 1 midfield when all fully fit clappp

Monkey - Gamble - Jones - Brown

not a bad looking midfield at all (if Gamble is any good  )

Sweeney isn't good enough for centre mid, that's been obvious for ages but despite his lack of skill he can cross a ball so i'd stick him on the right and tell him to try and get to the line and cross the ball. hopefully a quality centre mid will allow us to get more possesion higher up the pitch...

Great signing.

Just watched the interview, comes across really well by the way, but I noticed to the right of the screen it says posted 13 hours ago! Which means it was done around 9 this morning, long before your influence was brought into play!

edit: Just spotted I'm not the first one to notice this. :uhoh:

http://www.independent.ie/sport/football/ ... 00679.html?

maybe the delay in announcing this signing had something to do with this.
