what a checkout to win it!! Unreal darts player - they'll have to wait for his glimmers to go before anybody can beat him

Phil Taylor has excelled in his field more than any other sportsman in any other sport.Barneveld moved into the PDC & gave him a good challenge for around 18 month but Taylor worked on his game & just got bettter.
I think right now he is playing better than he has in his whole career. The guy is a legend.

In 1999 I took our lass to see the darts at Blackpool,1st game on Peter Manley beat Phil Taylor
It used to be a good weekend, semis & final (£10 & £15 when I went) at Blackpool but I think its around £30 for semis & £60 for the final now & they sell out immediately.
You gotta hand it to Barry Hearn,he said the PDC would make the game massive & he has done it.

I love watching the darts me, like. I'm rubbish at playing myself, although amazingly I once a double to win the leg for The Woodcutter in a pairs match

Darts is every bit as much a sport as snooker yet Steve Davis has won it in the past.

And Phil Taylor's not exactly a personality in my opinion - all he ever seems to do is stare at the dartboard in deep concentration, pick up the trophy and then do interviews. That's it.

I think theres a lot of people would like to see someone else win it Tigro, myself included, but I still appreciate the quality of Phil Taylor.

POK,you clearly have watched very little of Phil Taylor over the years,he may give the game 100% concentration, but he still interacts with the crowd during it,teases them over bullseye finishes and goes for occassional exhibition shots
He also removes the match board at the end of each game, signs it,gets it signed by his opponent & all the match officials, sticks his match darts in it and then gives it away to an audience member (usually a disabled person or a child)

POK,take it from me your talking out of your arse here mate.

I went to the Premier League in Newcastle earlier this year. Cracking atmosphere but I remember very little about the evening given we hit the peeve at midday. Ended the night doing press ups on the bar in The Loft thinking I was Oliver Reed.

Went to see John Lowe about 50 yards from our house, doing an exhibition in The Queen at the top of Warren Road, can't remember how long ago though. The pubs gone now, just a block of flats in its place. sadx
