My 2 worst...

Wrexham at home, 4-6 defeat, fuckin stupid game from start to finish.

Mansfield away 3-1 up, lost 4-3, circa 2001 or summit.

Tamworth was really bad. On reflection the board should have acted then. But to be fair to them they let what had been a great servant to the club have the chance to save himself. Scotty failed with the terrible consequences.

Two of my bottom three least favourite though were at Scunthorpe. Getting promoted whilst getting humiliated 4-0 was so very Hartlepool it hurt. How many other teams celebrate the third promotion in their history getting told to fuck off by their own fans after an appalling display?

New Year's Day last year at Scunny was as utterly gutless and hopeless as I have seen Pools. We never competed for a second.

But the absolute top prize for me goes to the gutless shambles that was our performance at Bristol Rovers on the last day of last season. I have felt lots of emotions towards my team but never before that day hatred and wish to see violence inflicted on them. The gutless, spineless,non-trying,inadequate twats. All they had to do was compete and keep the game close. No-one on that pitch could have complained if Turner had released them. If ever the need for this summer's clear out was illustrated it was then.

there are a few, main ones being two home defeats to crewe & wrexham. one was the start of a bad patch under cooper in the playoff final season. The other was just some rank bad defending again a rubbish crewe side a year or two ago.

But the one that sticks in my mind most is the one after michael maidens passed away. A day full of sadness and emotion, we hoped that pools would put on a show but it was not to be, boland being sent off and the way that wanker of a defender celebrated in barkers face sadx

Hate that game March 5th 2005 , my birthday.

Mansfield was 2000 but circa 2001 good enough

Barnet away (2007) end of the unbeaten run, simply because the run came to end,

Bristol Rover's (2009) away last day of the season and thinking can this be happening , can we actually go down, yes at final whistle knowing we had stayed up great relief but while game going on, it was torture

Bristol Rovers away last season - hundreds of Pools fans there - near enough 600 I think? - and THAT was a disgrace.
Pathetic from back to front - Budtz set the display in motion with appalling goalkeeping - how the f-uck did he ever sign for us, as well as that other gimp? I would have been better in goal.
Nelson another disgrace the big horrible ugly sh-ite useless crap wan-ker hoofing in any direction NON footballing plank faced tosspot.
Anyway that's enough cos I haven't ever felt so angry as Pde says for years. How could they put us through that?

what happened to that guy who scored them goals against us for Wrexham in that 6-4 defeat? Didnt he only come over to England to keep Alonso company or something? He was awesome that day.

Quite a few games this season are up there in terms of utter shiteness and no attempt at football but probabaly agree that the 4-6 defeat is there worst. I remember feeling physically sick watching it.

Don't know about the other two, but this is what happened to the Juan in question.....

"Ugarte then joined Football League One club Crewe Alexandra, but injuries prevented him from ever starting a game for the Alex and also cut short two loan returns to Wrexham after just one game each time. Despite his injury problems, the Dragons resigned him in November 2006 after Crewe had released him in May of that year, but up to February 24, 2007 he has had problems with his knee and hamstring.

Due to persistent injury problems, Ugarte had his Wrexham contract cancelled, and retired from professional football on January 16, 2008."

Bristol Rovers away has to be one of the most embarrassing moments in Pools history. I turned up there having no faith in them and I just knew they'd do their very best to get us relegated. Compare that team to our current team and the future is much brighter. We had the worst defence I've seen, the worst keeper, no natural wing backs, a very lackluster midfield and for the whole season it was Joel Porter vs. the world until Nardiello signed on loan.

Bournemouth away a few years back - we were pathetic - some even tried to persuade the bar staff to keep it open during second half. This was the closest I ever came to leaving a game early.

Macclesfield away in the F.A. Cup a couple of year back was one which sticks in my mind.
Got beat 2-1 and it was fooooking freezing.
They got Chelsea away next round.

Aye, I think I agree with that. The Mansfield 4-3 debacle was bad but it wasn't as gutting as the Bristol City late show as there wasn't as much at stake. sadx

The Wrexham game would have been quite entertaining..if Wrexham hadn't gone back in front after we kept equalising.

Lost to Hull City away in the first League game at the KC Stadium.

When we got beat 4-0 by Scunthorpe....and got promoted by default.

Or, when we got hammered 4-0 away to Blackpool.
