...took the daughter for the train to Sunderland this morning, the five past ten. As i pulled up, they were appearing from everywhere, Hartlepool Mags, some even swilling bottles of Grolsch in the balmy summer air..... and off I drove... Half ten, phone call "Dad can you pick me up, the train to Newcastle is full, there's bobbies on every door letting no one on, because they only put two carriages on instead of four and there isn't another train till 12, pick us up"
Drives down and there's a scene like a Keystone Cops fillum as panic sets in and various taxi's are being commandeered to get these lads and lasses to Geordieland to support their 'local' team....
