....much but utter tripe first half. Better second half but too little too late. Sweeney had best game this season and Jones perked up in second half. Seemed to play 4-3-3 first half and it didnt work.

Turner out.

we played 433 all 2nd half, hence sweeney was our only width down the mill house side, he played well as you say. Not much else to shout about really, bit of real quality from boydy in creating our goal clappp he didnt do much else like.
On another day we might just have eeeked out the 3 points, their keeper played really well.
2 points dropped though refyellow

They were hardly 3 quality chances sctatchinghead

Two of the chances were made by him and shots from outside the box. The other was from a tight angle were i thought Monkey was sure to knock in the loose ball after the keeper had saved again but it wasn't to be. i thought Boydy looked like hhe didn't fancy it for the first half hour but he had a decent second half. The touch and control to get past the defender and ball accross for the equaliser were quality. clappp

i would like to see Bjornsson put himself about more, but other players also need to make more of an effort to get close to him for knock downs, in the first half especially there seemed to b banghead e no one near him when he was the chosen out ball. He also needs to stay on fukking side. The referee seemed to allow Yeovil players to shove our lads, shirt pull and shoulder barge off the ball but strong tackles from us weren't allowed. sctatchinghead

Sweeney did play well, I actually wouldn't mind seeing him on the right of midfield when Austin is fit. At least he tries to get to the line and cross the ball and when we do this we look more dangerous. Leon seemed to want to cut inside all the time for some reason.

Agree with Chip Fire - 2 points dropped and it's getting a bit frustrating to say the least....

It was interesting to see a different formation today - really narrowed the game and gave Sweeney in particular a lot of space that wasn't always taken advantage of. Why change the formation though? The last home game was probably our best in the league so far. The problem was we couldn't put many passages of play together - the midfield needs different personnel who can either support the forwards or mop up defensively. There's only Jones of the 3 in centre mid today who's near doing any of that. I don't suppose the pitch helped today either. At least we didn't lose.

We should have beaten them. I thought we'd got the second goal when the ball arrived at Monkhouse's feet with the goal at his mercy. Can't believe he didn't score.

I thought Boyd did well and didn't think Bjornsson did too badly. The service to him was poor throughout but even when he did get it I felt he held it up well and offloaded to another player to continue the attack. He is definitely worth persevering with.

There was little control in the middle of pitch today and we struggled to contain Yeovil in the first half. Another example of why we need a good, solid central midfielder.

1-1 was better than I was expecting when they scored as we hadn't looked like coming anywhere near to scoring up to that point and indeed for much of the first half. But its a game we certainly could have done with winning. We definitely need a win v Oldham now. On another note I can't believe how quickly the first half of the league campaign has gone. How time flies when you're having fun
