Its quite nice, but I personally thought it is like ever other Italian in town, nothing different, used to be way better when it was al syros.

I used to like Al Syros, my wife took me there for my birthday earlier in the year (it's a round trip of 500 miles for us!) only to find it wasn't there any more - they were fitting it out as Little Italy.

I found it to be very average. Starter of garlic mushrooms on toast was poor (far, far too much sauce that completely covered the toast), mains was quite nice (even though it used the same sauce as the starter that was more like condensed soup).

Far nicer food available in the town, Aroma on Church Street is good. Have heard the italian in Seaton Carew (where Krimo's was originally) is very good.

mate goes a lot - same owner as al syros but had to change menu etc to get trade - much happier doing guinea fowl and wood pigeon but people in hartlepool want steak pasta and pizza
